The hotel had been recently refurbished and we had a very nice room overlooking the car park, with a lovely comfortable bed, as we are group of 8 we were unable to book a meal for the first evening,so worth booking ahead, we had a meal on the Saturday, their set meal for 2 @ £42 was excellent value and...

The hotel is ideally situated for a visit to Winchester. our friends from America were impressed by the hotel and surrounding areas. We went to the working mill and to see Jane Austen's House. The riverside walk was lovely. In the evening we ate in the hotel restaurant the food was impressive. Could not fault a thing , beautiful desserts.

A lovely old hotel full of charm & character located within yards of the town centre. Stayed for one night in a feature room which had a lovely view over the gardens. Room slightly on the small side but bathroom was huge. Breakfast and dinner both very good with good service throughout. Only slight negative is that the restaurant felt...

This hotel is in a great location and decorated tastefully. By the look and feel of the hotel it is likely you will have a pleasant stay. Unfortunately I was placed in a room in an odd location and had a poor experience. 1. There is little to no parking and you are unable to reserve a space. You can...

Situated quite close to the middle of Winchester this is an extremely busy hotel. Parking is a real issue, don't expect to be able to park on site although if you are very lucky a space might be found. We had to park temporarily at St Peter's St short stay car park (max 4 hours) which was about a 10...

To arrive after a long journey on a cold December night with zero temperatures outside and to find your room not much warmer was extremely disappointing for a room costing £108 a night. Simply not acceptable.

Stayed on their autumn deal recently. Part of the building is old with newer extension the room we were in could have benefitted from double or secondary glazing. Rooms were adequate impressed with room service we had booked a double but when we checked in early we found two single beds - this was rectified within 5 minutes. Nice meal...

There appears to be a theme appearing in recent reviews of this place, and NOT a good one. My wife has just stayed at this place on official business. After driving 200 miles she arrived to find (as stated by other reviewers) that there was no car parking available. She only found this after struggling to get into car park...

We stayed one night on Saturday 3rd December but was unable to check in until 4.15pm which was not a good start. We were allocated room 123 which was very small however we were in for a further shock when we could bearly move in the bathroom. The shower itself was so cramped that you could not move around &...
