We stayed here for 1night in early Nov while waiting to go on a cruise For which the hotel is ideal placed The staff are good but the hotel needs to be updated I stayed here about 20yr ago with friend and apart from a paint nothing looks updated Really nice beds in the rooms and good food in the...

Only stayed 1 night on business. Room was on the side so was quiet. Comfy bed, clean, hot water with good shower. All I needed and reasonable price. Plenty of parking. You pay a fiver at reception for this. Thought breakfast was expensive so had that in Wetherspoons next door but one which opens at 7am

We paid a discount price for the room, can't imagine how I would feel had I paid full price! The room we were allocated (119) was very small. Very small wardrobe, very difficult to access, very awkward set-up of the beds and side table. Bath tap very difficult to remove! Tumblers very flimsy, they cracked when used, all of it...

I was at this venue for a wedding reception and I have to say the 2 functioning bars were grossly understocked, understaffed and generally not suited for the numbers booked. In most cases waiting up to 15/20 mins to get served downstairs and upstairs constantly running out of glasses and ice. I would not recommend this venue for any evening...

This place is in need of serious TLC, it's certainly seen better days. Only redeeming feature are the very comfortable beds. Bedrooms at 60's boarding house style, along with the general feel of the place. Single glazing as well, in a very buzzing part of town (buses, parties, street cleaners etc). Very good secure parking (£5). Free wifi.

I only stayed two nights in this hotel and it served its purpose. I was alone so it was nice to be able to walk to the shops and entertainment at West Quay. I was able to check in immediately even though I was early. The bathroom and bedroom were a good size and I loved the bath and shower....

The gluten free alternative to afternoon tea, at the Dolphin Hotel, was initially forgotten despite advising one person required gluten free, so after waiting about 20 minutes what I was eventually given was sandwiches and 3 meringue nests. I paid the same as everyone else and really wasn't impressed. Such a shame. The hotel let us decorate the room for...

We had a double room and stayed for one night. The bathroom was mouldy, with according stench, everything looked not well maintained and when we wanted to eat something late in the evening we could only have sandwiches due to lack of ingredients. Kind staff, but overall poor quality and service.

Had booked 2 shower rooms at this hotel for a band on tour. Looked like an interesting hotel with good food / bar options and a great location. I know that when our travel agent booked this he would have made it absolutely clear what the rooms were being used for - just for people coming in to take a...
