I went to this B&B but was met with a woman who was so racist and discriminatory. She said they were fully booked which was clearly a lie. When I asked how much the rooms were going for, she refused to tell me. That was so disrespectful. I have never been treated in such a manner before. Clearly meant “you are not welcomed here”. Obviously because I’m black and was dressed in shorts, with a Tesco carrier bag. I’m a solicitor, went to Southampton for work just thought of lookin at alternative places I can stay in the future but clearly they don’t give out their rooms to black people. Disgusting and horrible people.
My Husband, son and I have now stayed at the Amberley Guest House on numerous occasions and cannot fault it in any way. We love staying here and it has become our home from home and Eliana, the owner has become a friend/extension of our family. She is always so kind, caring, friendly and goes the extra mile to help us in any way that she possibly can, nothing is too much trouble. We are five minutes drive away from the Hospital and local shops, so location is very convenient for us. We have stayed in several different rooms in the guest house and have found them to be extremely clean and comfortable. We also like being able to cater for ourselves in the self catering breakfast room. I would never want to stay anywhere else in Southampton and would recommend staying here without a moments hesitation.…
I was there for 10 days with another 2 colleagues from work ,and it was lovely.Clean, confortable....the owners are very caring and friendly, make us feel at home.Comimg from work and find my towel warm.... that it is what I call an impecable service.
I was very impressed with Amberley Guest House, my room was warm and had a comfortable bed, sink, TV, free wifi, a desk, tea making facilities and space to hang my clothes. The bedroom, bathroom and communal areas were very clean and tidy and there were really useful food preparation facilities, including fridges, microwave plates and cutlery. The owners were absolutely lovely people and very welcoming. They were friendly and would chat to the guests but would also leave the guests to have their own space. They provided information about the local area including where the local supermarket was. The supermarket was very handy as it was less than a 10 minute walk from the guest house. I couldn't recommend Amberley Guest House more highly.
Stayed there in self-catered housing for a couple of weeks, small room but clean housing and very arranging hosts. Well located, 15 min walk from main shops/streets. Eliana does everything she can to help her guests!
