I booked this hotel last minute due to uncertainty over dates. Wished I'd never bothered! The Winston hotel is disgusting, if you could even call it a hotel when it's actually just some rooms above a pub. No security, anyone could walk in via the bar or back doors left open. From reading the trip advisor reviews beforehand it seemed... More

Dirty and smelly is the only way I can describe our rooms, the curtains were filthy and hanging off the rails, the shower was covered in mould so did not want to use it, the toilet didn't flush well, there is not one thing that I can say good about any of the three rooms that we booked, if it... The room had been refurbished and though clean smelt of drains thought to be coming from the ensuite. The masticator was obviously not working efficiently as the shower was not running away properly,we advised a member of staff as we left.I phoned the night before our arrival to check on how to get to the (Aegeas) Bowl have to say they... We stayed in this hotel to go to a Rod Stewart concert. We had a lovely refurbished room with twin beds. It was clean and comfortable. We also had a lovely lunch before the concert and i would highly recommend the food here. Breakfast was good too. It is in a good location to the town centre. A 10min walk... More

Stayed just for 1 night as we went to see a band, we had travelled from the Midlands and had arrived around 7pm. First initial thoughts were a bit unsure, as it was covered in scaffolding, but when we entered it was a lovely homely vibe, and we had changed our minds. We liked it! It was a last minute... More

Myself & my partner stayed for a night as we were going to a festival about ten minutes away in the common. The Hotel looks nice from the outside and welcoming. We had to go around the back of the building for the accommodation area as the pub/restaurant is at the front. The room we stayed in had an en... More

I was a little worried after reading some of the reviews but I've had a lovely stay in a very very nice refurbished room, lovely clean big bathroom! Beds very comfy, nice TV on the wall with freeview, I'd recommend! Also downstairs is a pub so you can't go wrong! No problem with noise either!

Three of us needed a one night stay in Southampton at short notice. Wish I had searched for more options. On the plus side we did get a recently refurbished room and ensuite and all the bedding was new. The room was in a separate building from the main hotel and was basic but clean and adequate. The three single... More
