I stayed here in July and found this a lovely place to stay. The bed was very comfortable and the breakfasts were lovely with the rooms very clean. David and Vicky were perfect hosts and am looking forward to seeing them in the spring. The only glitch was during my stay the mains water pressure dropped, but was out of... More

Dear Parphilip Thank you for you comments, I’m sorry about the water pressure drop during your stay, but I understand the water company were digging up the road nearby. I hope we are still in your top ten though. Best wishes and thank you again David More

Communication with people in this place I found very poor and felt the owner was arrogant.

I'm sorry I don't recall anyone departing in such disgruntled state. Your comments are contrary to other reviews posted here, consiquently I wonder if you may have confused us with somewhere else. More

I booked a single room at Victoria Court for three nights and travelled up from Cornwall on the train. Instructions were e-mailed to me on how to reach the hotel from the nearby station . The owner David, sent an e-mail with instructions on how to access the key if he happened to be out on business but as it... More

Dear Nannyonabike Thank you for your lovely review and I’m glad you had a wonderful stay here. I often wonder if you ever got to Melbourne, but by strange coincidence a couple from there stayed with us the following week. Best wishes and thank you again David More

We stayed at this B&B the night before getting the ferry over to the isle of wight for the festival the next day, for which it is perfectly situated. Upon arrival we checked ourselves in and accessed our own room key, the room was bright, airy and comfortable. The breakfast the next day was lovely and David , the owner... More

I stayed 6 months in Victoria court for a business reason. It was great to live there with David and Vicky. This is two lovely persons. The rooms and the house are really good. Thanks for everything. And I will not hesitate to recommend this place to everyone.

We were in Portsmouth to deliver our son to University, because of this we were uncertain of our arrival time. This however was not a problem as even though we arrived before our expected time we were welcomed. The accommodation was comfortable and the room was of a reasonable size. (I have been to some where you have to squeeze... More

We stayed in room 2 on the ground floor. The main problem was the shower. It was so close to the toilet that when I sat on the toilet, my shoulder touched the shower. The shower room was so small - I would guess 4ft by 4ft. Obviously to get into the shower I had to open the door to... More

I’m sorry your stay was not what you were expecting. Your estimate on the en-suite was almost close as it is 5 by 6. En-suites have to be a compromise and usually just functional. I’ve been to hundreds of hotels and showers are the hardest to comprehend, which is why I fitted something simple. However the shower heads have always... More

OK, but rather over priced, but then the whole of Portsmouth is rather overpriced. Not bad located for restaurants though. Owner pleasant enough. No complaints.

Just to point out that this was a last minute booking. It was in the busy period and was in our last room. Probably the whole of Portsmouth was full. This was a single occupancy in a family room. I could have waited and let this to a family and realised its full earnings. However I have been in a... More
