Last minute stop off, on our way to the New Forest. Man on reception was pleasant. The room had an awful smell. Look at pictures, more like a Council owned Hostel. Good location to visit the Historical Seafront. 1.5 mile...No spoon for coffee...Annoying...Bed was ok. Wouldn't bring Children here.

Beware this is a very deceiving hotel !! It has 40 bedrooms! Basically I would say only 15 of the rooms have been fully re furbished !! The other 25 rooms are very bog standard ! The lady on the reception referred to them as "contractors" rooms. I assume she meant builders! When I checked in I asked for a... More

Stinks of fags. A complete dump. Couldn't find anywhere else at short notice. Mary at the Florence helped us find a room as they were full. Lovely of her to help but I wish she didn't! Paid £45 for the night and feel ripped off. Lady at the desk asked everyone for cash. Dodgy.

Beware, this Hotel is now called The Palm Hotel. Had to endure four nights at this so called Hotel. I have never been so looking forward to leaving a Hotel. Did not need key to the room as the lock did not work, just had to push the door open. Could not even lock the door at night. Reported it... More

Just returned from one night stay at Saville. OMG what a utter dump! Felt like a drug den. Stains, smells & dangerous electrics plus a cold breakfast!! When we arrived the owner told us brekky is 7.30 - 9.30am and if we didn't mind arriving the later the better, so we went for breakfast at 9.20am to be told by... More

Having left for Portsmouth very last minute our choices of hotels were very limited. In retrospect we're not at all surprised to the Saville had vacancies. Stained (bodily fluid) walls, carpets, damp musty smell mixed with cigarette smoke. Building felt like a crack den. We weren't murdered and if you're on a night out and need a bed its hilarious.

got to the hotel to be told that I wasn't allowed any guests in my room at all, so my friend had to wait in the lobby whilst I got ready to go out. Upon leaving, I had to hand in my key again and was told that if I wasn't back by 2am, I wouldn't be able to get... More
