We went with friends for drinks after gym work out and it was great ! Friendly staff with good table service. Social distancing is well respected ! Burger were delicious ! Gym is amazing as well, super clean and booking system easy to use.
Never have breakfast. Cold not as ordered. Total rip off, Rude duty manager! Complained and just got told it was only £7.50! Waited 45minutes for service. Breakfast was served not as ordered and cold . Coffee was 1 jug only. I asked for sugar 3 times and was told it would be over. Eventually in a non covid friendly way we had to take from another table I had to go to starbucks and buy something to eat.
We use this hotel as a quick one/two night get away that’s not far from home. Rooms are tiny but modern & clean. Always book using hotel website to get complimentary parking. Staff are welcoming & friendly
My boyfriend and I are very disappointed with this stay, the bed which was 2 single beds put together took up majority of the room; asked to get bigger room and to upgrade, they said this is the biggest they have, I would love to see what you actually get in the upgrade if that is the case!! Woke up at 7.30am on a Saturday by the booming music above us. When saying about all of this to the receptionist, her reply was ‘oh sorry’. Also, went for a nice meal on the night before, menu was extremely basic and massively over priced
We’ve stayed at a few Village hotels over the years, and have enjoyed the concept. We got a 2 night deal so our stay was good value for money. Our room was upgraded and this seemed to mean colourful striped wallpaper, an Alexa and a Dyson fan. The room was so small, barely space to move around the bed, and so dark. Staff were friendly and helpful. On arrival we just wanted a long drink from the bar, they no longer seem to have a bar area, we had to be seated at a table. Fortunately, they were not busy. The dinner menu was a bit dull, but food tasted ok. COVID-secure breakfast was a big disappointed - either continental or cooked and all brought to you wrapped in so much single use plastic. The next day we managed to order only what we wanted, rather than waste food. They should have had a tick list to order items. The hotel is doing its best in these strange times. …
