Superb pub, very friendly staff, and have eaten here a few times and it's always been really lovely food! Apart from putting crisps on the "side" with a sandwich order. It should be chips/fries all the way! Worked here many times as a cleaner too and seen the pub go through many hands! Always been a lovely place to go... More

I wanted to say a special thanks to the management at the White Hart Inn. We stayed at your Inn over Easter with our little son. As we couldn't afford to much we booked the smallest room but when we arrived we where upgraded to a much bigger and absolutely beautiful room. This was a real treat for us as... More

I stayed here one night before beginning a four-day trek down the Cotswold Way. The room was clean and comfortable, with a comfortable bed, a quiet pub downstairs, and a great location in the center of the village. My room was right on the High Street, and I awoke (not too early) to the sound of horses clopping their way... More

I made a walking tour through the Cotswolds and the tour operator advised us to limit the volume and weight of our bags. So I left my laptop at home, assuming that most accommodations that have internet access (wi-fi) also have a computer for use by guests (e.g. in the reception hall). Well, this accommodation didn’t. They argued that there... More

We had a back room where we could open the window which was nice. Beautiful town, restaurant was good. Nice view of the hills out back. Grocery store nearby where we bought cheese and wonderful wine store across the street where we got excellent wine so enjoyed them in the room.

Bank Holiday stay at the White Hart Inn Hotel. Charming Ancient Cotswold Town. Hotel atmospheric and staff delightful. Nothing too much trouble. The Town was full for their Bank Holiday Fair. Despite this and the Hotel being full, the staff were brilliant. Food excellent and served with aplomb. Our bedroom was lovely and very spacious with stunning views. The hotel... More

A typical old Cotswold inn on the high street of the attractive town of Winchcombe. So it is old and perhaps the rooms a little quirky BUT what a great find. The staff were so friendly and helpful and the Inn has lots of atmosphere and charm. The room i had looked out onto the high street and was clean... More

Myself and a friend booked for a one night stay.....no issues with check in very efficient and friendly staff. Lovely walk to the castle and back using the new river walk...suitable for buggies and wheelchairs with seats to enjoy the views. Back to the white heart for a refreshing beer in the lovely bar which is dog friendly. Our room... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Eat, drink and flop in historic Winchcombe. To some it's a pub, others a hotel. Situated at the heart of the village of Winchcombe near Cheltenham, this ‘restaurant with rooms’ (there are 11) offers the very best of British food and an excellent wine list. Visit the wine shop and try the famous sausages in the Wine & Sausage eating rooms. A perfect place to visit or stay if you love walking or visiting Cheltenham races. Each of the 8 en-suite rooms are individually styled and some have feature beds. In the Wine & Sausage eating rooms located on the inns ground floor they are passionate about real food, the great and simple British dishes that we grew up with. Ingredients are carefully sourced and wherever possible use local and regional farmers, growers, fishermen, producers, brewers and even winemakers. Just a few metres away from the inn you will find the scenic Cotswold Way and Gloucestershire Way footpaths. The Inn is also very popular with cyclists and can help with routes around the area, especially via one or two other 'watering holes'. There's even a hosepipe for washing down muddy bikes. Winchcombe is an idyllic base for touring the Cotswolds and the White Hart is the perfect bolt hole close to the famous sporting and cultural festival town of Cheltenham. ... more   less
