Small car park but nice to have Bit noisy in the evening owing to people outside of the nearby Wetherspoons pub, comfortable room, good en suite. Excellent breakfast, (one of the best we've ever had) freshly cooked, good ingredients and friendly staff. Would certainly visit again.

My partner wanted to score Good, as there were issues with; dated decor, noise as no double glazing, shower was not great and carpets marked. But we... More

Arrived home today after a stay at this hotel. When we arrived at the hotel I wondered had we chosen to stay at the wrong hotel. The downstairs of the hotel didn't seem very nice and the hall carpet leading to the stairs going to rooms was filthy. I was surprised that ou room was a little small but clean.... More

We had a twin room for two nights -- the ensuite toilet did not flush properly and had a broken seat. After three complaints to reception, finally to the manager, a new seat was provided but the toilet flush was not repaired. Room was quite noisy due to a refrigeration unit outside the hotel. Good location opposite to the railway... More

Arrived with the family and noticed immediately the lady in front of us was complaining of the wrong room. The receptionist was completely making a meal of it but seemed to resolve it eventually. We checked in and carried the families cases to the room only to find he checked us into a double room. We went downstairs to get... More

My wife and I stayed at The Imperial for one night in order to attend a friends 60th. Good location next to the railway station. Easy check in - friendly staff - lovely room - incredibly comfortable bed - good breakfast. Would certainly return. Thanks for a great weekend.

I have known The Imperial for years, and was excited to be able to spend a night there last Friday with my eldest daughter. We had a lovely time visiting old friends and haunts in and around Stroud. We had a nice big twin room with tea and coffee, and a good bathroom with bath and shower, and soap and... More

We stayed overnight whilst attending nearby Badminton Horse Trials. The Imperial was fairly large and next to the local station (although we heard no train noise during our stay). Rooms were comfortable and clean, although the bed and pillows were a bit soft for me. The restaurant downstairs serves Thai, which we didnt have. We also left early before breakfast,... More

Arrived here for two days to visit Badminton horse trials. We had a lovely welcome and had our bags carried upstairs. The room was spotless and the bathroom was clinically clean!!!. Breakfast was great. Plenty of cold variety and a super breakfast. A lovely hotel and well worth a visit when visiting that area. My sister and myself Will certainly... More
