Very warm welcoming from staff very polite and professional at all times nothing to much trouble. Beautiful scenery outside just breathtaking, a place where you can relax and take in the view or relax on the leather sofas, a place where you get comfy and don't want to move. Very tranquil. The food is outstanding, quite expensive for a round... More

Stayed here on a Friday night. Lovely 4 poster beds. Very nice rustic feel. Wooden beams everywhere etc. Great choice of breakfast in the morning. The hotel is basically in the middle of a good course lovely views if you are outside

We looked at a few venues before choosing the Lodge as our wedding venue. We met Zoe who is now on maternity leave and felt immediately at ease with her. The hotel is beautiful and has a real Cotswold charm about it and as we are local to the area we wanted our wedding venue to reflect our local roots.... More

We checked in on Saturday after noon and went to our room. There was a strong toilet/drains smell from the bar up to the rooms, not nice at all. Luckily it wasn't in the room though. Th room was small but clean and tidy but we were directly above the bar so quite noisy so we had to keep the... More

We stayed here for a wedding, and we chose it due to the location from Kingscote - around a 10 minute drive. The B&B cost us £185 for two nights (Sat-Mon) - we paid for an Executive Room. The location seemed initially lovely- literally in the middle of the moors - our room window looked out on the moors and... More

Had a wonderful Ploughman's lunch in the garden on a gorgeous sunny day. This pub offers great views of Minchinhampton Common where cattle, horses and donkeys roam wild. Our two kids climbed trees in the garden to their hearts content while we took in the views and caught some rays. Friendly staff on a really busy bank holiday Monday. Couldn't... More

Me and 3 members of my family enjoyed an outstanding meal here last night. With incredible views from the restaurant! The food was faultless, absolutely incredible! Service was good also. The gentleman who served us (guessing he was perhaps Restaurant Manager) was very helpful and attentive. We will certainly be returning! Although a few pointers, I would have to say... More

Popped by just for a drink on a nice sunny evening and sat in the beer garden. Decided to grab some food and it was amazing best pie I've ever had. Would highly recommend for anyone just waning a drink or a nice meal. Also can't go wrong with on certain days they do buy one get one half price.

just paid over £100 for four people one starter two desserts four mains ...but disappointed . Starter ok but hummus indistinguishable from anything , pretty average . Mains good for most part - though not a lot of it . Desserts very disappointing - trifle flaccid and not tasty , a bit bland . Cheeseboard extortionate for what it was... More

We had been to the Old Lodge before, in the off-season, and that time it was crammed. So as it was the height of the tourist season we thought it prudent to book.  Which we did on-line; a table for two at 7.  At the appointed time we arrived and were shown to a table in a side room by... More
