Beautiful location on Minchinhampton common with lovely views . The Old lodge was very well presented, nice, clean and well decorated. Friendly staff and a good service. There was a good choice from the menu and the food had good portions and was very nicely cooked and full of flavour They had real ales and the usual assortment of wines,... More

Had a very nice stay stay, the location is beautiful, the service was great, very friendly staff (good beer), lovely food and a good choice. The room was very comfy and clean (all be it a little small). Breakfast was very nice as well. The B&B rate was very reasonable.

Well here we go with my review, (sorry it's late we stayed on Friday the the 8th of July) my party of 4 adults stayed at the Old Lodge checking in with ease on the Friday evening. Brilliant first impression, lovely place in the middle of Michinhamton Common, Stroud. We were met by Mike (a friendly Irish man) and the... More

We came for dinner on Sunday evening with our family it was quite busy but the friendly waitress managed to accommodate us. The meal was superb the lamb cutlets are some of the best lamb I have tasted. The waitress that looked after us blond hair in her 30s was brilliant nothing was to much trouble she really looked after... More

Hello I was at The Old Lodge last saturday as part of a wedding group. We all got there around 11.30am to be greeted by a lovely man behind the bar who to be fair to him had to deal with about 100 poeple arriving at once and he was alone. He made the wait for everyone very easy by... More

The Old Lodge is in quite a picturesque location. The room I had was small, but comfortable. My mattress was quite soft, however meant I got one of the better nights sleep on the trip. Overall, very happy with the room, especially given the rate I paid. Exceptional value for money. The Restaurant for Dinner was exceptional. I had the... More

A hidden gem is one way to describe this fantastic place. Firstly, the views from the dining room and in and around Minchampton were absolutely stunning, with a fab golf course and wild cows/horses roaming free. Most importantly the food and service was great. I did not stay here but we are looking to do so in future

Had our wedding reception at the lodge on the Saturday 2nd July. Excellent service for the entire duration, nothing was too much trouble for the staff who were working a long day. Drinks were refilled before they were empty, plenty of canapés being served, food was of very high quality. Put on an excellent celebration for us in the evening.... More

Attended a wedding and stayed for 2 nights. The bedroom we eventually got was quite nice, but I feel the smaller rooms need to be made more attractive! Also they need to put a mirror over the dressing table as when I used my hair drier I couldn't see what I was doing. The meal we had on the first... More
