Character charm and lovely staff made our weekend stay very pleasant. Our bedroom was certainly not level anywhere, but it added to the experience. Food was good service spot on drink good nothing really to fault. If I was being picky I would have preferred the breakfast at 8 not 9, but that's about it, visit and enjoy.

My partner took me here for a surprise 30th birthday treat and I think he made a great choice. A lovely quiet inn with a nice bar and open fire. Our room was perfect for what we needed and had character. Bed was super comfy! Staff were all friendly and the breakfast was good! Would recommend.

Despite the website describing the rooms as 'recently refurbished ' my room (Stag) was tatty and tired. I should imagine that when it was first renovated it was stunning but the upkeep just hasn't happened. A hotel needs more than a bit of designer wallpaper and colour schemes to describe itself as boutique and these are just rooms above a...

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights and had the smallest room which was cute and adequate for what we wanted. The shower was pokey but I'm only little so I was ok. The place was clean and serviced each day. Only complaint I had is the guy checking in didn't mention timings or anything about breakfast or...

We stayed here 2 nights for my birthday in December. The room they gave us was not suitable but they were happy to move us which we were very grateful for. The food was very nice and we ate there 2 nights, breakfast delicious and would be happy to return as dog friendly.

We stayed at their boutiques lodge next door. We went for a meal on arrival. Food and drink lovely. All the staff were courteous and service was brilliant. A special thank you to the gentleman who was front of house the night we visited. (Last night). Sorry didn't get his name. He showed us to our room in the stag...

We called into The White Hart today for Sunday lunch. A warm and cosy pub with a friendly atmosphere. The sunday lunch wasn't the cheapest but I think it was probably the best I have ever had. A very enjoyable visit.

On a freezing January day it was wonderful to walk into a warm cozy pub with log fires and a smiling face. Well kept real ale, a menu that offers all the standard choices but with the imagination to turn a sandwich into a treat, a burger to the next level. Home made pies, fresh local vegetables and interesting vegetarian...

Booked a table as we had heard it was very popular. Service was very poor and the dining room was cold. The food was very disappointing and there was no specials board available as advertised. We had invited friends to join us and we were very embarrassed by the whole experience. We will not be going back again.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
If you are intending to stay overnight, there are five rooms to choose from, ranging from the stunning “Stag”, with a free standing bath in the bedroom, to the snug “Fallow”.
