Stayed for 4 nights and we enjoyed the experience. It's an old building complete with creaky floors and steep stairs. So definitely not for the unfit and no easy way to haul luggage up. We had help from James with ours. Honestly it's about expectations of what makes a good stay. The whole experience of the stairs and creaky floors... More

We stayed in a two level room, bed upstairs and bath + sitting area on the first level. The upstairs was dark with only one small window, limited headroom and a bed that was short for a 5'-9" guy. Awkward to go downstairs to bath, especially in the middle of the night, with steep stairs and headroom near 5'. Love... More

We stayed at the Kings Arm for two nights and used stow as a base to explore Cotswold. We booked a double ensuite room. When we reached we were given a quaint small cottage (cottage rake) with a bed room on the first floor and small sitting area and bathroom on the ground. The cottage which was very charming, was... Location and setting were OK, however the starter didn’t arrive and there was an expectation suggested that it could be served with the main course. Having refused, this upset the timing of the main course, which was then overcooked.

Stayed at this hotel in room 7. It was fine except for the bed, which was worn out. Creaky and uncomfortable to sleep on. Not up to snuff. This is too bad, because otherwise the hotel was fine , if one likes to rest in a very old, quaint building. Food service was quite acceptable, and the staff is friendly.

What an amazing hotel. We stayed for two night in two different rooms. First one was out of this world . The second one was fabulous but being an 500 yr old pub the floor ran away a little. Great staff brilliant breakfasts. The Cotswalds are absolutely beautiful. That was one of the main reasons we went to the UK.... More

Kings Arms is located in the center of Stow. It offers parking behind the property and spaces in the front to use at night. Being in an historic building, there are quite steep stairs leading to the rooms. Restaurant was good. Would recommend.

Delightful hotel. Our room was spacious and airy at the top of the building. Steep flight of stairs called the "drunken staircase" which were very interesting. Modern clean facilities in our room with a deep bath and separate shower. Parking is tight. The staff are very polite and helpful. Cooked breakfast was good but could have done with a croissant... Decided would visit Stow on the Wold to shop and have lunch, all the pubs and restaurants were fully booked. This was our last choice and what a choice lovely quirky restaurant. They found a table for 3 immediately. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was excellent and so tasty and catered for my gluten intolerance and everyone that... More

We travelled to the Cotswolds from Cornwall and were pretty tired by the time we arrived. We tried a few pubs in town before we were taken with the attentive service of Monica. She was fantastic. She made some food recommendations and I must say after 2 weeks in the Uk we had the best pie !!! Fantastic meals all... More
