We stayed in the Highlands Room for three nights this month. We found the room dark, dreary and stuffy with one window that barely opened. I saw the owner briefly (two minutes!) during our stay and mentioned our impression of the room. His comment was something like, "That's the way rooms were centuries ago". Maybe so, but dark carpet and... More

This B&B is run by a New Zealander who is quite welcoming and talkative. The building dates from the 1400's. We stayed in the old Tuscan room while friends stayed in the Palm Beach room. Each room is themed. Great shower, comfy 4 poster bed. Watch your head on the way in. Rooms are upstairs on two to three levels.... More

We have just returned from a 3 night stay at this BB we would not call it a hotel as there are very few facilities. The house is very small a tiny reception area that you have to drop down two high steps a lounge just settee and chairs no TV. Or bar. We stayed in the old Tuscany room.... More

We decided to experience the UK through a road trip which meant a new hotel or B&B each evening. The Cardynham House was easily our favorite of the variety of places we stayed. Since we were traveling with our two nieces, we opted for the Dovecote Room which had a four-poster double bed and two singles. The room was spacious... More

We managed to get a room for our family of four. It was a real treat. The room was huge with 3 beds. Very clean and updated in a 500 year building--plus our third story views gave us a good overview of the city center. A great value and a fun experience. The included breakfast was tasty.

Booked for two nights using a voucher with no problem. All the previous reviews make it very clear that parking is an issue but using the ticket provided by Cardynham House is in fact quite easy. We were given room 3 on the first floor. All as shown on the website .Booked dinner in the Bistro for 7pm. Staff very... More

Stayed here a few months ago during a trip to the Cotswolds (apologies for late review). We had the Palm Beach room which was lovely with probably the comfiest bed I've ever slept in! Breakfast was very nice - good choice offered (full English/continental/pancakes etc). There isn't much to do in the immediate area but it's very pretty & tranquil.... More

We stayed for one night and we found the owner to be polite and welcoming, the room had a TV with freeview, tea and coffee making facilities, toiletries & towels. The owner gave you a breakfast menu on arrival for each person, you had to fill it out the day before & you had to choose whether you wanted tea... More

The staff could not have been more welcoming. It is a lovely quirky place and the rooms area delight. The breakfast was lovely too. Stayed in the Tuscan room and the bed was the most comfortable ever, four poster too. Decor was superb.

Well located bed and breakfast in Painswick. This is a pretty town with a nice feel to it. Room was fine and staff pleasant. Stayed using a buy a gift voucher, no problems with this at the time of payment. We ate at the bistro for dinner, and this is where you take breakfast too. You have to pre book... More
