Travelers' Choice
The White Hart Royal Hotel is conveniently located in the market town of Moreton-in-Marsh at the head of the beautiful Evenlode Valley in the English Cotswolds. The hotel was and still is a great coaching inn. Its reputation was enhanced when King Charles I sheltered in the inn following the battle of Marston Moor on 2nd July 1644. A copy of the King’s unpaid bill is commemorated on a plaque within the entrance lobby.

Stayed for a couple of nights on a secret escapes break. Service from staff was excellent from the moment we arrived, we were made to feel very welcome throughout our stay, especially Bill and Emma. Room was very comfortable and good size. Nice to have fresh water bottles replaced each day. Had a cream tea outside in the court yard and evening meal in the main restaurant - both were excellent and good value. Overall a lovely hotel with great service and food, all with a fantastic history thrown in. Can't wait to come back. Highly recommended.

The Hotel is beautifully furnished, it has a ton of history, is super comfortable, the food is superb and - most of all - the service provided by the staff is outstanding with a great attention to detail. From the moment we walked through the door, we were made to feel at home. We had one of the Courtyard rooms (room 304) which was luxurious, with lots of extras including chocolate and a large private garden. We had a wonderful stay and would 100% recommend it to others.

I expected more for the price. Breakfast should defo be improved in matter of quality, quantity and presentation. It looked like you did it yourself, nothing more. Room was clean and it was nice to be able to enjoy a nice cup of Nespresso with treats. However I did not like the style of our room. Nothing like the website pictures. Our room looked like it hasn’t been refreshed for decades. Staff was very friendly.

Extremely impressed with the staff, rooms and quality of food. Would definitely return again in the future. Parking is a little hit or miss and Expedia booking did not synch up with hotel booking .. if booked through Expedia check if breakfast is definitely included and make sure you get the room specified, room was rectified quickly with absolutely no fuss.
