Had afternoon tea, the service was polite and well mannered, the afternoon tea didn't give the wow factor but was sufficient, we had the offer from Groupon but was slightly disappointed for the value for money. The Dining area looked as though it had seen better days and the chairs were tired looking, but had a nice view of the... More

My husband and I have just returned from a 2 night stay with our 2 year old son who is dairy intolerant. The staff went out of the way to accommodate us and James the Manager was lovely, he recommended the nearby outdoor pool which made for a great day out. Admittedly the rooms are outdated however the size of... More

Lovely hotel, well situated on outskirts of Cirencester in Cotswolds. Friendly staff made us feel very welcome. Lovely spacious room on 2nd floor overlooking garden with a great view of countryside. Room made up daily with fresh towels. Lovely garden to sit and relax in.

We had a 2 night stay with evening meal as a gift off our son and daughter in law. Chose this hotel as off the website for our voucher, The location is good. We were a little disappointed in our room (room 27). It was a good sized room, clean. Tea and coffee with biscuits, hairdryer. Because we were in... More

Having read a number of very negative reviews we were quite worried about having booked two nights B & B at this hotel. However we were agreeably surprised and found it to be much better than we had been led to believe. Yes, it is in need of some upgrading but is reminiscent of a good '1980s decor' style hotel... Visited for the groupon deal, afternoon tea for two with prossecco. Rang and booked at short notice. Very lovely cream tea, lovely scones and cakes. Tea room a bit dated but lovely gardens. Small hotel, friendly staff. In a pleasant quiet location in the Cotswolds.

My friend and I stayed here for two nights B&b, plus dinner for one night. We arrived at 2.15 pm and asked if we could get a sandwich but was told the Chef had just finished at 2 so it wasn't possible! Despite the info folder saying that there was 24 hr room service, so not a good start! We... More

We booked our wedding here last month. I noticed a lot of complaints about the bedrooms being poor, but that doesn't bother us because the new (private owners) have huge plans in place to modernise them and this isn't really the purpose of the booking anyway... We turned up unannounced to have a nose around and get a real feel... More

Old hotel in serious need of redecoration. Walled garden very nice. My single room was appalling - separated by a paper thin fire door from the room next door, I could hear every breath of its occupant, including a heated conversation over the phone with her boyfriend at 1 in the morning, followed by hours of texts pinging on her...
