A great little getaway. staff friendly and accommodating. Rooms are quaint but in need of updating however the hotel facilities are excellent. Set in lovely grounds everything seems unhurried. Breakfast is a buffet style but you have everything you need. Excellent staff, lovely stay

Very disappointed with this 3 star hotel. Very tired and shabby and although reception dealt admirably with changing our room on request, the alternative room caused different problems. We were booked in for bed and breakfast only, but food wasn't very appealing or plentiful. People were queuing for some time for eggs which upon arrival were rather overcooked. We decided... More

I booked an afternoon tea as a treat for my husbands birthday. Totally disappointed. The staff were lovely and welcoming. The room we were placed in had a slightly weird smell. The room looked tired and very much in need of an update. Our afternoon tea was not great. The sandwiches were substandard. Cheap butter/marge. The fillings were not the... More

We arrived in the car park of this empressive building. On entering the hotel we could see that a bit of updating wouldn't go amiss! We were in room 17, which was a large room with a corridor. The carpets in the room in many places were thread bare but we had to think about how much we had paid... More

Stayed the night before Tough Mudder Southwest in a twin room. Lovely old country house with beautiful walled garden. Room was massive, comfortable, clean and well decorated. Very friendly and helpful staff who allowed to make an early start on the breakfast buffet as breakfast didn't officially start until 8.00. Hotel is nicely situated but just slightly tonight to walk... More

When I arrived at the hotel, I thought that it was such a lovely hotel, the garden was big and well maintained and the building had character. I checked into my room, and felt like it was worth my money, bit outdated, but I didn't mind. I had a lovely big room with a bath in the bathroom, a sofa,... More

Stayed over for one night to attend a friend's wedding and the main thing is that the bride and groom had a great day. As for my experience it was a little bit unloved. The rooms look all a bit dated and the showers don't really run that well, the hot water takes a long time to turn on. The... More

Me and my husband recently got married here, and it was an amazing day!! Pat was our organiser from the beginning and she made the whole experience so comfortable and exciting! The day went so smoothly without one hitch! Everything was perfect and how I imagined it! The staff were amazing on the day and couldn't of asked anymore of... More

We attended a wedding here. We thought it was 'satisfactory' overall but perhaps a little below average. The grounds were nice and the food was good but the service wasn't. It was slow and we didn't think there was enough staff! The hotel was satisfactory but some area's need refurbishing, the function room being one of them... its not somewhere... More

Stayed here recently for a wedding. Check in was smooth and the room was ready earlier than advertised. Our room was a decent size but very dated. The bathroom had a strong smell of damp shower curtain which wasn't pleasant. But the bed was comfy and the room was quiet so we did get a good night's sleep. The hotel... More
