We had a 2 night stay in this hotel with evening meal. We upgraded our room (so glad we did) it was furthest away from the Reception but nearest to the main road but thankfully didn't hear anything. The room itself was a fair size but there was a musky smell as you entered the room, think it was from... More

A nice find for a hotel, well situated just outside of Cirencester. It is going through a refurbish at the moment but don't let that put you off. The evening meal was well cooked and substantial (it was a little over presented for my taste) and that good we used the restaurant again on the second night. Breakfast was an... More

We had a two night stay in a premium double room. The staff are lovely. The room was a really good size. The decor is slightly dated, but everything was clean. The food really is very good, a really good 8/9 out of 10. Would recommend it & would happily go back.

Even though work was being carried out to upgrade, we had a lovely stay. Nice and peaceful. Lovely staff and good food. Although it's an old building it was lovely and warm. Nice spacious bathroom. Will be going back.

Just been for a 2 night stay, in Nov, not the best month for visits I admit. We were given room 20 which is designed for wheel chairs etc and it is very big and comfortable for us old but mobile types. We used the restaurant for evening meals twice and food was nicely presented and adequate (we chose from the... Agree with most previous comments. Our stay (room 35) was very peaceful. We booked through Groupon and upgraded - I'm glad we did. I guess October/November is going to be quieter, I think they must have had a large function over the weekend and when we booked in Sunday evening it felt a bit like the Mary Celeste. The staff... Nice place to stay, needs upgrading, which I believe is starting. Plumbing needs attention, showering is tricky with the temperature going cold to scalding hot. Nothing too much trouble for the staff, they aim to please. Breakfast lovely, just not hot enough. Very peaceful setting, slept well in a comfortable clean room.

This was our third visit to this hotel and it is an ideal base for exploring the Cotswolds. With the interesting market town of Cirencester just down the road, one is spoilt for places to visit. The dining room overlooks a delightful walled garden where one can sit in peace, to read or take tea etc. The breakfasts are predictable... More

Reasonably priced. Nice setting but hotel in need of update. Very scarcely staffed, especially at the restaurant. Nice unexpected upgrade but unsure what would have awaited me if I went without. Served a purpose, I suppose.....

Stayed in the hotel on the basis of a groupon that included meals. Check in was efficient and when we got to our room we found a very large, if somewhat old fashioned area and large bathroom. Saying that, everything was clean and included tea/coffee making facilities and a large flat screen TVs with free view. Wifi was also excellent.... More
