Our friends chose this lovely restaurant as they are local to the area. From the front it does not look much but when you step inside it is nice and bright and goes back so plenty of tables to be had. The food was very good and as a vegetarian I had a choise which does not happen often. The... More

The food is very good the service is totally clueless, the manager was also extremely dim. The only person who knew what he was doing was Keith, the night porter. Its one of those places where aĺl of the staff were kids who probablý have never ordered in a restuarant. That's ok if you have a maitre'd who is on... More

Two years ago I went to this Cotswold hotel and everything was perfect, attentive staff, helpful and caring management. Recently I returned and knowing the layout pre asked for a room with not too many steps. My request was ignored, and the Management watched me a 73 year old struggle up to the top floor, although he did carry my... More

This is the second time that I have visited the Fleece, the pub is quaint with friendly bar staff and a good selection of beers. The lunch time food and breakfast is always well presented and cooked perfectly. The only disappointing point was the lack of sleep, at being woken up too early due to traffic and street maintenance. Top... More

Having put a couple of poor reviews about this place a few months ago, mainly on slow, unprofessional and forgetful service, tried again and this was so different. A very friendly waitress, permanent smile very helpful and efficient which was so different from before. We all had fish and chips, very good and we will go back!

Group of 6 stayed here on business and were not disappointed. It is very well located right in the centre of town and the staff are very friendly. The food was excellent and breakfast freshly prepared. It can be something of a lottery in respect of the rooms, some are better than others and one of our group had brown... More

Very impressed with the hotel - room fabulous and the service and food in the restaurant - great - I had a business dinner there and all very good. Loved the room I had - cosy, warm, and comfortable - great to find such a nice place at a good price

Have visited a couple of times for lunch and really enjoyed both visits. A very warm welcome with friendly staff and atmosphere. To be fair we have only had the Fish finger sandwiches with chips/sweet potato fries which were very tasty. Will definitely be returning.

Based on personal recommendations - booked a table for Sunday lunch. Menu had a good choice, service was OK, meals were very good and beer well kept. But, can't put my finger on it - but despite all of those good things - it was missing something. Perhaps because it is advertised as a 5 star hotel and website really... More

No good if you are a vegetarian. Had a choice of gnocchi or risotto which was very disappointing. Obviously we vegetarians do not come very high up on their customers "that we want" list. Lovely place, lots of atmosphere. The young man that served us was excellent and very attentive. Unfortunately I won't be rushing back for a meal.

Thank you for your review, we are changing our menu shortly and will look to have more choice for vegetarians, we can always alter anything on our menu as it is prepared and cooked fresh so if there is something you are particularly looking for please ask. I am happy to see that you enjoyed the atmosphere and service from... More
