Met up with friends for a lovely meal and chat. We sat in the bar near the window with the sides all opened out. Lovely. Good service which was funny at times and great food. We chose: - a selection of nibbles (bread, celeriac bhaji, sausages and squid). Squid was amazing. - steak, sea bass, sausages and chicken for mains.... More

Real pub, real historic building, lovely atmosphere in heart of Cirencester which is beautiful place to stay and visit. Live Jazz band Sundays so really chilled place to visit eat and stay and well recommended. Well managed and run by both a manager and real pub landlord, not Al Murray but Paul who made our family feel very welcomed.

Anyone who knows the Quayside in Brixham will be at home here. A modernised original coaching inn in the centre of Cirencester. The food is very good but if you are used to modern US style hotels be prepared for surprises. Parking is difficult at the hotel although a large car park is a short walk away. Rooms are small... We came to Cirencester for a weekend to get out of London and found this place on the Alistar Sawday's site as a dog friendly place. It did not disappoint. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was excellent and it had a view on to the outside patio. We had dinner at the restaurant and the food... More

This was not our first choice, but as we had left it late to book there was not much availability elsewhere. Plus having read the other reviews on TripAdvisor I felt quite confident we would have a good stay. Our check-in went smoothly and not kept waiting, we were able to store our mountain bikes securely which was something we... More

Very fine hotel in a great position in the town centre. Staff were great and room well appointed. No car park maybe an issue! I was lucky and found a space right outside and free from 6 to 8am. I was a little bit disappointed in the food but I did arrive late. The real ale was very well kept... More

We stayed here as a stop on the Thames and Severn Path, we were looking for a comfortable room and good food after a long day's walking. There were a few issues with our stay at The Fleece but we were very well looked after the team went out of their way to proactively make up for the problems. The... More

We absolutely loved our stay here... The one night wasn't enough!! Our room was spacious and of decent size and we overlooked a small courtyard. The bathroom was full of light and the bedroom, full of character. We had some drinks in the bar followed by a lovely evening meal. We were served by Della, who was an absolute star!!... More

What fab meals we all had and there were 22 of us. Hot food, cooked to a high standard and served beautifully. We all had 3 courses and everything was just perfect. Very attentive service and a lovely atmosphere. Table was booked in the name of Steel/Butler on Saturday 30th July. So pleased we came here and would definitely visit... More

When we arrived and checked in we found our bathroom had not been cleaned and even when we complained there were still long dark hairs around the sink. Also, all of the lamp shades were not straight and the bathroom light fitting were hanging out the wall. it looked like someone had a party and just left. The stair rail... More
