We managed to get a cancellation at the last minute and were delighted to be able to stay here. We received the warmest of welcomes, and Veronica could not have done more to think of everything to help us optimise our stay. Our room was large and extremely comfortable, beautifully presented and with every need catered for, in terms of... More

It was such a pleasure to arrive at Hanover House after a long day travelling. Veronica was very welcoming with plenty of information about Cheltenham town centre and the house is beautiful. My room was a very good size with a huge comfortable bed and some lovely pieces of furniture and artwork. The breakfast was the perfect way to start... More

My wife and I have just ended our seventh annual visit to Hanover House at the time of the 2016 Cheltenham Literary Festival. We have gone back every year because of the wonderfully attractive and comfortable accommodation and the charming and attentive hospitality of its host and hostess - James and Veronica. Hence Hanover House is an outstanding base for... More

Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a kind review as I know it takes time and trouble, so it is really appreciated. Having retold the stories to you over breakfast and telling you that I have not managed to do it since. I managed it today. Utter chaos! It has been a real pleasure having... More

Being in the middle of chaos at home, we decided to treat ourselves to a night away. And what a treat Hanover House is! Gorgeous house with so many interesting books, paintings, and objects to look at. Our room was comfortable with everything we needed including a huge selection of teas. The beds were so comfy, with soft pillows. We... More

My friend and I had a lovely adventure exploring England in May, 2016. For transportation from one section to another we used the trains which were fantastic! If you missed one, you just caught the next one! I wasn’t ready to rent a car and drive ‘on the wrong side of the road’. We toured many noted sites such as... More

What a warm welcome we received into this family-run B&B that is a special jewel! Conveniently located near to the shops and restaurants, all the necessities are provided, and then some. Hanover House is a spacious house with large, private rooms. The beautiful twin room had an ensuite bathroom, while the others seemed to have detached, but private bathrooms. The house had a lovely family feel to it, while retaining the privacy of a hotel, which made for a really welcome change from sterile modern hotels. The hosts were friendly, helpful... More
