Good comfortable room and friendly staff. Let down by poor service. We stayed one night en route from south coast to visit elderly friends in nearby sheltered accommodation. We arrived early evening and asked what time food was served to. We were advised up to about 10pm and thereafter sandwiches possible at any time. So we decided to eat later...

Thank you for your review. We are glad to hear you found your allocated room comfortable. We have looked into the issue you have mentioned. Normally, our chef is happy to prepare sandwiches regardless whether he is doing 'prep' or not however the evening you stayed he was deep cleaning the kitchen - hence why he was unable to prepare...

This hotel is a difficult place to review. The staff are friendly, the service isn't bad & the food was very good. The hotel is clean. However , our room (3) was very overcrowded & had a ridiculous wardrobe in it that is actually for a child. I had to hang my dresses on the outside of this monstrosity &...

Thank you for taking the time to leave us some feedback. We are glad that you found our team friendly and had a good dining experience. We are disappointed that we did not exceed your expectations during your stay. Room 3 is our feature four poster and free standing bath room. We do provide pictures online, although it is not...

The hotel outside appearance is in keeping with the area. We were warmly welcomed and the pleasant young man asked us how our journey had been and had we travelled far. We explained that we were to attend the ballet rpthat evening and would need to find the theatre later. He fetched a tourist map of Cheltenham and used his...

we were put in the basement. the room on first impression was cute cottage feel, however i soon started to see the crack in the wall and paint peeling off. It was a small room and there would only be enough room for a cabin bag. Wifi was terrible and patchy and unusable. It is quiet far from the town...

Thank you for taking your time to write a review. We apologise if you felt the standard double was too small for you - our superior or deluxe double rooms are more spacious, we do try to recommend these room types if we know you need the extra space for luggage etc. We normally have no problem with the wi-fi;...

Have stayed in numerous hotels/bed and breakfasts in Cheltenham for the races and this hotel is probably the most comfortable as regards the bedroom and the bathroom. Really spacious room, comfortable bed with excellent quality bedding and as we were on the top floor really quiet. Underfloor heating in the bathroom which had a great bath and walk in shower....

Beautiful old world charm with upgraded modern facilities. The Breakfast was generous and delicious too, the evening menu was different than the norm, and were gorgeous, full compliments to the excellent chef.

We recently returned from a two night stay in this hotel, location is very convenient for Cheltenham centre. Standard of the deluxe room is excellent. Great breakfast served in lovely dining room. Maybe staff could be more interactive with guests but not really a problem for us.
