Clean, recently refurbished, lovely staff, cheap, good breakfasts, 20 minutes walk from the town center. This is a pub firstly with rooms above. Great for a pre-dinner drink although they had run out of red wine (!!). Our room was very quiet with no road or train noise but our kids had noisy and inconsiderate neighbors banging doors, chatting loudly... More

We received a lovely warm welcome to The Midland despite the renovation work. The staff were so friendly and for such a low price (£45 for a Thursday night) we were very impressed. We were even offered an alternative room as I'd accidentally to book a twin instead of a double. Everywhere was beautifully clean and there's a separate entrance... More

my friend and I stayed for a night out in Cheltenham, the staff were very welcome and gave useful information for accessing town and how to get in later in the later hours. There was no pressure to leave early in the morning and breakfast was cooked to order and relaxing. We left feeling refreshed and wanting to go back... More

Friendly clean, comfortable, quiet and a nice choice for Breakfast at a fiver each. Beds were twins but move together to make a double and we had no problems accessing the shared bathroom despite other people staying there. Bar renevations going on but didn't affect stay. No faults.

We paid a very reasonable price with a great location next to the train station. We are vegan and our breakfast was brilliant. Can't say enough about the friendliness of the staff who gave tips about where to visit.(Also had no issues with LGBT couples which is nice) Would stay again!

I popped in this pub before catching a train as I had seen a sign saying they did a breakfast for £5. Warm welcome, lovely landlady and a great breakfast (egg cooked perfectly as I requested) served hot on a warm plate. Good quality ingredients and real HP sauce unlike many places that scrimp on cheaper ingredients and condiments. Other... More

Booked as overnight stay to make connection to onward train journey, couldn't have been better for that, with hotel directly opposite station. Room only deal, very good value if you don't mind shared bathrooms.

Briefly, you can grab a bargain here and it is ideal if arriving by train - just cross Gloucester Road! You'll get a great breakfast for £5 and not have to worry about getting to the station on time. It is about a mile to the town centre, but there is a good bus service. If you prefer to walk... More
