Unfortunately this beautiful b and b, in a fantastic location is heavily let down by a shocking landlady who has left us feeling cold. Paid just over £130 for a room (which we were more than happy to pay for something a little special) but we couldn't wait to leave. Having now read some previous reviews about the owners we... More

This was way up the scale from most of the Bed and Breakfasts I normally stay in, home and abroad. But no real complaints. I know Cheltenham well, including the posh bits. Even by the stylish standatds of Montpellier and Lansdown, Lypiatt House is almost other worldly, magnificent in the rain from the outside, well-appointed but cozy within. Breakfast covered... More

Stayed one night as part of our "road trip" and can't wait to return. A beautiful location, splendid house with ample parking. In addition to a very well appointed room, we had the use of a large comfortable drawing room and large conservatory. A "trust" bar is available and there is a good variety of alcoholic/non alcoholic drink. Very well... More

This is more like a boutique hotel than a B&B. As you enter the drive, the are hit with a magnificent view of a very imposing building and when you enter, the interiors are just as remarkable. The immediate feeling is that the place is well kept. Room that I was in was very clean and very well furnished, and... More

What an incredible place, remarkable property and a fantastic breakfast. Owners extremely helpful and can advise on all the local attractions and places to eat. 2 night stay but can't wait to get back there. A real home from home. We were in the Birdlip room which was great for us.

I stayed here for business reasons and found the stay most pleasant, the room I stayed in was first class it was clean and well presented. A great location for wandering into town, where you can easily while away your time either alone or with friends. The breakfast was good quality food well prepared

Stayed for the Jazz Festival. Super convenient. Very comfortable room with en suite. Brilliant breakfast. Lovely lounge and conservatory to sit in. Friendly obliging hostess ( Suzie) and lovely staff during the day and at breakfast. Can't recommend highly enough.

Our visit started with a misunderstanding. Despite e-mailing our arrival time and confirming it in a second e-mail and then arriving exactly when we said we would, there was no one at the hotel. There was an instruction on the door to ring a mobile number. After about ten minutes a staff member turned up saying that she had been... More

My wife and I recently returned from a trip to Cheltenham. While there, we stayed at the Lypiatt House. Tanya and Frank really helped us to feel at home throughout our stay. Our room was charming. The location of the hotel was extremely convenient to the rest of the city. The breakfast was wonderful. We felt doted on and cared... More
