Enjoy your stay in Cheltenham!
We stayed at Ellenborough park 6 years ago so were excited to return and we certainly weren’t disappointed! We booked our stay quite late but had the most beautiful room in the main house, over looking the pool in the distance. We stayed for 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed breakfast both mornings. They had the most amazing continental spread and then warm food being served at the table. I enjoyed a full English both mornings and my hubby the eggs Benedict. Service the first morning was a little slower, had to await a high chair and then had to ask again and when you’re holding an 11 month old it’s pretty obvious what we needed. Husband also ordered another latte but it took so long to arrive we had to leave to get on with our day. The 2nd morning, service was a lot better so I’m assuming it was a case of struggling to get staff and those that were there were still being trained etc. On the 2nd afternoon we used the outdoor heated pool, it was fantastic and our 11 month old son loved it! It was certainly very relaxing for me as I hadn’t been in the pool pregnant before so have a weightless feeling. We didn’t eat at the hotel in the evenings either night but the menu certainly looked inviting. Quick check out on our final morning was brilliant, if you received your bill under your door and you’re happy with it, you simply pop the key in the box. This was great for us as the queue was quite big at reception sorting a wedding bill out. We loved our time as Ellenborough park, the grounds and the pool being our most favourite. We would most certainly return.…
Big thanks to LANA for 2 increbible massages which helped make my stay relaxing and complete! She even came in on her day off for the second massage because i was in discomfort from a hip injury. She is the BEST & 5 STARS!
We had this stay bought as a gift. I certainly wouldn’t have paid the rates to stay here. Having stayed in some beautiful hotels I found the Ellenborough Park a little stuffy and soulless. The bar area was dead, with no music or atmosphere. I was ‘told off’ for knocking on the bar door despite having waited 15 minutes to be served. The room was lovely, very comfy bed, chocolates provided for my birthday and we also had breakfast delivered to the room which was excellent. It’s a way out of Cheltenham so if you want to go out and find something with a slightly less funeral home vibe then you’ll need a taxi. Spa is small but nice enough. Grounds were lovely. Not for me though, I wouldn’t rush back
Wow! There must be fairies in the kitchen making the most magical food. The fairy Godmother that is Veronica, who made our visit so special, is an asset to the hotel. The whole experience was like gold dust - very special and very rare!
I’ve been coming to Lana now for several months and she never fails! Her warm nature is so welcoming, and her technique and pressure are incredible. Couldn’t recommend her more!! Im booked in for my next treatment with her. Enjoy! X
Birthday afternoon tea with my wife and newborn. Staff were faultless from start to finish. Gave me a birthday card and chocolates. The afternoon tea was perfect, best scones ever But again the staff were incredible
I was so impressed with this hotel when we drove up. It’s spectacular, and I was very excited to get to spend 2 nights there. Our room was nothing spectacular. I had booked through Private Upgrades, which gives you an upgrade, if available, and complimentary breakfast. An upgrade was not possible, so we were put in room 25 upstairs near the pool. I noticed the bathroom was a little dark and mentioned it to housekeeping the first night. The light over the bathroom sink and mirror wouldn’t work. I mentioned it again the first morning. First, let me say, the hotel is gorgeous and the food was terrific, especially breakfast and Sarah. What spoiled it for me was the dark bathroom. I emailed the hotel and Private Upgrades about getting a new bulb in there, and while we were touring the Cotswolds an hour away, I received a call from Private Upgrades saying that we could move to another room. Since they planned to put someone else in that room , we would need to move out immediately. They even offered to move our things since we were not able to return in time. We had money and passports in the safe and don’t want them to have to open it. I appreciate the gesture and only wish someone had told me when I first mentioned it that they were waiting on a part to come in to fix the light. On our next hotels, we checked the A.C. and all the lights, etc. before we unpacked and settled in. Lesson learned.…
We stayed at the venue last night for a wedding. Room was spotless, location was amazing. More importantly the staff from start to finish were fantastic. The moment we arrived it was easy to check in and the staff at the spa allowed us to use the facilities to get changed. They couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly. Throughout our stay we can’t express enough how super and friendly the staff were. From the bar staff to the waiters everyone took time to engage with us to ensure the stay was absolutely perfect. Thank you
Table of 9 last Sunday to celebrate our wedding. Amazing food, everyone said the same how nice the food was. Excellent service, not a single bad thing to say about the day. All the staff looked after us so well, special thank you to Oli. 5 star all round.
A memorable overnight stay at this superb hotel set in fabulous grounds. Lovely luxurious rooms, great outdoor heated pool. Excellent breakfast and evening meal. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
