The hotel looks great, clean nice rooms. Nice details. Great breakfast! We had a few issues - we couldn't organise the room temperature for sleeping. It was so warm. The staff really did a great effort to help us, and the second night we could stay in another room that was bigger and where the window could be opened. It... More

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here back in November. The hotel was beautifully decorated throughout as well as being very welcoming in terms of making yourself at home in any of the shared spaces, as well as the bedroom. Hotel was clean throughout and in addition to this, I was very impressed by the warm welcome we received from the manager... More

My husband and I stayed for 1 night on a Sunday night. It was amazing value at £100 for one of their excellent rooms. The decor throughout the hotel was rustic, homely and very well thought through. Great attention to detail everywhere. I loved the huge bath and lovely local toiletries. He's was very comfortable- best nights sleep in a... More

A really stunning hotel. Staff were so helpful. The decor was stunning. Breakfast was amazing (with a jar full off paracetamol for those that had enjoyed one too many In the bar the night before!) The room Itself was plush, pastries were delivered to the room with a paper. A truly memorable night away. Thank you!

I stayed just for one night as I was working in town, and it had a real country house feel. The communal areas were well designed and attractive, the bedroom appeared equally well thought out, and the breakfast was of generous proportions (although too salty - salt crystals on the bread?). Downsides? No wardrobe, just a rail in a cupboard... More

Beautiful property with lots of quirky touches. Comfortable bed with lovely quality bed linen. Couldn't quite face the prosecco or vodka supplied for the bloody mary's at breakfast. Wouldn't hesitate in recommending.

First night of a last minute break could not have been bettered. Fantastic ground floor room, even though at the front the traffic could not be heard, mammoth size room with whale sized bathroom. We had nowhere booked for an evening meal and took the offer of a free return taxi to the sister pub, The Tavern, and had a... More

I visited No 38 this summer and I still remember how pleasant my stay was. The atmosphere was soo relaxing and cozy there. Many little details that make you feel like home (not only in the room but even when you walk in the hotel). I was totally in love with a bathroom. Bathroom was soo specious and well designed...
