Was given an access code to enter the property which was so easy to use - no fuss of keys or hotel card to worry about. The apartment was clean, immaculate & quiet considering location was 5mins from centre. With booking direct we had a welcome basket of milk, chocolate, biscuits, loaf of bread & orange juice which was a lovely welcomed touch. The toiletries in the bathroom were a nice touch too. The only issue is the drain smell from both kitchen & bathroom sink. We managed to close the bathroom door which helped a bit but may need looking at. There was no bleach available to put down the sink. We only stayed 3 nights but if staying longer might have been a major problem. Would recommend to others & would return again when visiting Cheltenham.
This is my second stay in the Strozzi Palace & I hope it won't be the last. Beautiful suite with lovely furniture & a very comfortable bed. Only small negatives were practically dead batteries in both remote controls & no visible way of connecting TVs to wifi, so wasn't possible to watch Netflix; and the expected welcome breakfast pack was missing, although there was milk & coffee.
Had an incredible three nights in the Napoli Suite. Everything laid on perfectly. Comfortable bed, clear and spacious living and kitchen area and excellent shower. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great stay in Cheltenham.
Visited Cheltenham as a new place to try out for a short getaway. The apartment looked great on the website, and apartment is our preferred accommodation for self-catering. Unfortunately the kitchen did not have an oven, just a microwave which rather limited the purpose of having an apartment. It was nice accommodation but there were a couple of things not working - bedroom skylight blind, and the air-conditioning - hopefully those will be fixed for the next guests. Also advertised with a balcony - but it is a Juliette balcony from which you can hear the outdoor tv from the back of the pub area it looks over (Tuscany Suite).
5 mins from the station and a short walk into town. High-end large room accommodation with excellent security and reasonable pricing. Along with friendly staff this is perfect little joke from home that I have no problem recommending highly.
This was our third stay in the Milano suite - and we have already booked our next. The suite is immaculately clean, comfortable and has everything needed for a relaxing stay. Absolutely no interior noise from other suites (and being Races week we understand all suites were taken), and minimal noise from outside - only traffic and not enough to cause any issue at all. We saw the lovely staff on a few mornings - always smiling and keen to check if we needed anything. All in all a great stay yet again and we look forward to returning.
Really great luxurious apartment. Huge bed, lovely lounge, great bathroom with shower over bathtub. Close to the town centre and lots of restaurants and cafes nearby. No lifts available. No lunge, bar or restaurant on-premises.
I visited Cheltenham with my daughter for the Cheltenham Races! Honestly we could not believe the apartment it was beautiful. Immaculately clean with every convenience you could wish for. Super comfy bed too! Easy car parking 3 mins away £10 per day. We will definitely be back. Well done to all.
The only reason for a 4 * review and not a 5* was the lack of attention to detail that we found in our suite. The staff were excellent, the cleanliness of the suite was generally fine, the bed comfortable, the location convenient and we appreciated the welcome pack of breakfast foods and drinks in the kitchenette which had everything we needed. But, one of our towels was frayed, the soap dish cracked and the tiling in the shower stained. There was an odd assortment of shampoos and lotions in the bathroom. Products from one high end manufacturer would have been better. The outdoor space was most unappealing and needed a thorough clean. There were also towels stuffed between the stairs and the window which I assume were to clear up a leak. These may sound trivial things but if the aim is to provide 5* accommodation then everything needs to be perfect. We never discovered the source of the smell of drains that we complained of when we arrived but it was seemingly sorted by the manager when she was on duty the morning after our arrival. Had she been there the previous afternoon when we first arrived I’m sure the problem would have been sorted sooner.…
What a fantastic apartment. Why stay in a chain motel when you can have the Strozzi Palace! We would definitely recommend staying here for a short break in Cheltenham. Easy walking distance to the great bars, restaurants and shops. Parking very close by and reasonable too. The room was equipped well and had a small kitchenette area with kettle, toaster, microwave and fridge. There was fresh bread, orange juice and milk too, not those uht pods, as well as proper coffee and decent tea bags. Bed was big and comfy too. Quite a few stairs up to the 2nd floor though so just be aware of this if you struggle with them. Will definitely be back though for a longer weekend stay
