The staff were very accommodating. We were guest of Old Manse hotel. They had closed the kitchen at 8.30pm far earlier than advertised. My husband nipped over to the Wellington and although about to close the kitchen too offered to take our order. We ordered burgers they were excellent quality and nicely presented. The staff were all very pleasant offering...

Went there earlier today with 30 family members for dinner at 5.00pm, and ended up staying until last orders. The staff were extremely accommodating, the food was very good, and overall, we had a wonderful time. Many thanks, Howard

Highly recommend the Sunday Carvery. The food was tasty, plentiful and well cooked with a great variety of meat and vegetables. The staff are friendly and helpful and made my daughter very welcome . The recently refurbished restaurant offers cosy surroundings with a modern decor. Recommend booking a table to avoid disappointment!.

We found this pub to be just o.k for a very short stay but would not recommend it for any longer. Very small old fashion bedrooms, lots of stairs and steps certainly no more than a 3 star. Would not suit elderly people or those with any disablement. Car parking at the rear but space is not over generous. To...

Warm welcome from each member of staff when we arrived for our overnight stay with our chocolate labrador Poppy. Room was quaint, basic , but tea/coffee making facilities, very small screened TV, decent bathroom, shower and bed. Lots of stairs up to accommodation! , Great atmosphere in the bar with tourists and locals alike. Evening food good value. Breakfast the...

Tucked away off the Main Street. Only found it as the staff in the first pub we stopped at were so rude. Very nice, friendly, polite bar staff. We didn't eat but it was welcoming and the beer was good!

Just dropped in on a day out to get out of the sun and had the carvery I can only say how excellent it was. The day was very busy and the staff were courteous and efficient. The food was lovely with freshly cooked vegetables we will definitely use it again when in the area. Strikes me that all the...

Many thanks for your kind words. Its so rewarding that the staff get some recognition for the hard work they put in. Far too often they are criticised and abused for the smallest of things and then threatened with bad reviews on tripadvisor for not giving something away for free or simply just not thanked for a job well done....

Whilst ordering drinks today the MANAGER refused to make 4 coffees because she was to 'busy'. She had literally just made 2 coffees in front of me for the previous customer. As I ordered she sighed and looked at me like I was asking her to fly me to the moon even after I pointed out that there was NOBODY...

Thank you DAN, as explained to you following your kind review on Facebook, which you have subsequently deleted and now posted on here for greater effect, I have looked into your complaint as promised and as suspected, our CCTV and the staff who were working during your visit have confirmed that at lease six other customers were stood/approaching the bar...
