Made a booking for 14 people just a few hours before we wanted to be seated. We had tried to book a couple of other pubs we had walked past fast and I'm so glad they weren't available or we wouldn't have had the pleasure of this place. We were greeted by a very friendly and efficient waitress who told... More

Loved the location of this place, beer garden next to the river. Food was reasonably priced and well presented, and tasty. The only minor niggle I have is that we had a long wait at the bar to be served. A lovely hot summers day, you'd think management would've put an extra person on. But, that said, the staff worked... We enjoyed our visit to this pub, it has a lovely beer garden by the river. We wanted a light lunch but as it was a Sunday they were only serving main meals so we just had drinks. Very reasonable for selection of coffees, soft drinks and cider. Highly recommend, especially outside on a nice sunny day!

Recently had a night here - the room was small but comfortable and had all the expected amenities. We ate in the restaurant and the food was great - breakfast was lovely too. Overall very good value for money.

Called in when visiting the town without a reservation and found they had a table free. The carvery was the choice of all four of us with a choice of 3 meats and all the trimmings. Well cooked, good portion size in a pleasant pub surrounding. Good honest food served by pleasant staff.

Been here a few times, lovely pub. Bit over expensive on the bar side of things. Overall fine for a refreshing pint. They have a nice outside sitting area next to the river to enjoy your drink, food & sun. They have also recently added a couple of TV's in the bar to watch sports events.

We popped in for lunch today after walking around the village. We were thinking of having the carvery but we did have a look at it and there didn't seem to be quite the selection we are used to in other places, in saying, that others seemed to be enjoying theirs so perhaps it was better than it looked. Popped in on day out had a nice pint and OK bite to eat (tuna melt) it came with a small handful of Nachos & the bread was a bit burnt. My only criticism is it needs some investment/updating every chair was different. However that would not stop me going there but the window shoppers it may do.

Visited with a group of friends. Good service and good food. We all had something different and everyone was very happy. A good plateful for a good price. Only one person had dessert which was the lemon tart which was really nice. We would go again.
