This accommodation is a bit of an enigma - when i booked I was expecting a top class hotel. Instead it is a top class restaurant with rooms (AA 5* restaurant with rooms) - and that is what it is! The food, both evening meal and breakfast, cannot be faulted. In fact I would go so far as to say... More

Delightful hotel, with loads of character set in one of the prettiest villages in the Cotwolds. The dinner menu is superb. If you are a foodie you will love it. The hotel has beautiful gardens, and is situated in the middle of the village. Very friendly staff.

The Dial House is a beautiful, traditional stone building that we spotted on a visit last year. We booked a 2 night stay with friends and teenagers and both were equally happy with the rooms and facilities. The teenagers were booked into their own rooms which were located right next to ours and they enjoyed the freedom of staying in... More

Lovely place to stay in Bourton on the Water, right in the town and near all the attractions but quiet and restful. The bathroom was very modern and clean and had a powerful shower. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the breakfasts amazing. We asked for suggestions for local walks and were given lots of maps and directions... More

Right in the centre of Bourton. Stayed in a front bedroom, 4 poster bed. Lovely views over centre of village. Pleasant helpful staff, good food, quirky accommodation ! Our room was bit tired. The bathroom enormous but had sloping eaves at either side which resulted in bumped heads initially ! No towel rail near to the bath which meant either... More

Booked a Superior room and ended up located in the attic - it was impossible for us (two 70+ year old) to carry our luggage up narrow winding stairs to our room so we had to request some staff to handle the job - in fact even without the luggage it felt hazardous. The room itself was smaller than we... More

There are three things The Dial House Hotel has going for it, 1. Katie on reception. 2. a car park . 3. a very central location. We booked a premium room for one night. The web site indicated a price of £180 but we managed to get it for £150, still a fairly hefty price for a one night stop... More

Mark who checkin us in was great, excellent customer service. He was also taking the breakfast orders each morning. Our room over looked the front garden area but was on first floor. Over time the floor has sagged a little so sometimes a little like walking uphill. However this just adds to the character of the hotel. Room lovely n... More

A big thank you to Katy who saved the day for us and five of our Japanese friends during their visit to bourton on the water on Friday 10 June. It was about 5.30 when we arrived everything in bourton was closing and our friends were desperate for a cup of English tea. I popped into the Dial House as... More

The hotel is traditional and has a good taste regarding the décor. We had view out the front of the hotel overlooking the town and that was lovely. The best thing about our stay though was the breakfast. It was absolutely outstanding and was presented so nicely.
