The best afternoon tea I've ever had was at the Dial House Hotel. The food was very well presented with a lovely selection of cakes, scones, macaroons and sandwiches. The scones were still warm from the oven and we were offered plenty of tea and coffee. The hotel took on board my dietary requirements (myself being a vegetarian) and served... More

Stayed here recently for 3 nights and had a lovely time. Our room was very nice and the staff very helpful, the veggie breakfast was very nice but slightly on the small size. It's a bit expensive stay ing here, but why not spoil yourself. John and jill

This is a very old 'historic' hotel located right in the middle of Bourton-on-the-Water located just a few feet from restaurants, shopping, pubs...all you can ask for in this quaint Cotswold town...our room was clean and comfy which is all you can ask for so no complaints...the bathroom was spacious but had no shower, just a 'high' tub so an... Stayed for my husbands 60th. Had a gorgeous large room (room 1) with great views, a four poster bed and a large roll top bath. Staff were very helpful and always eager to please. Home made muesli was the best I've tasted, they have gluten free options too. Would definitely stay again.

The hotel a very old period feel to it, the guy on the reception/kitchen/table waiter/ hotel manager, a bit of everything else actually was absolutely brilliant. That goes for the rest of the staff actually all be them very few. This is not a major chain hotel. The hotel was quaint and clean. The brekkers was lovely. A bit tired... More

This accommodation is a bit of an enigma - when i booked I was expecting a top class hotel. Instead it is a top class restaurant with rooms (AA 5* restaurant with rooms) - and that is what it is! The food, both evening meal and breakfast, cannot be faulted. In fact I would go so far as to say... More

Delightful hotel, with loads of character set in one of the prettiest villages in the Cotwolds. The dinner menu is superb. If you are a foodie you will love it. The hotel has beautiful gardens, and is situated in the middle of the village. Very friendly staff.

This hotel is lovely the breakfast was very good. We booked the superior room which is very nice and clean, the big problem is that you will be woken up before 7am by the delivery vans. If they don't wake you the bad language from the kitchen will (choice language used). The receptionist was informed and although she did apologise... More

The Dial House is a beautiful, traditional stone building that we spotted on a visit last year. We booked a 2 night stay with friends and teenagers and both were equally happy with the rooms and facilities. The teenagers were booked into their own rooms which were located right next to ours and they enjoyed the freedom of staying in... More

Lovely place to stay in Bourton on the Water, right in the town and near all the attractions but quiet and restful. The bathroom was very modern and clean and had a powerful shower. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the breakfasts amazing. We asked for suggestions for local walks and were given lots of maps and directions... More
