This is a lovely hotel in a great location. There was a warm welcome on arrival and we were shown to our rooms. This was a break for a family celebration so multiple rooms booked. The rooms were clean and well equipped. The en-suites were lovely and the towels were soft & fluffy. We ate at The Croft restaurant across... More

We contacted the Chester House after checking into the Dumbarton Hall, within 30 minutes of checking into the Dumbarton Hall we checked out it was smelly and outdated the amenities did not work So we looked around mindful it was Saturday night 6pm and we got through to Menjie on the phone and she was amazing ! We arrived at... More

We stayed for one night and found the room to be lovely and of good size , we ate in the Italian restaurant in the evening which is part of the hotel ,the food is excellent and the staff in all parts of the hotel are friendly and efficient. Had lunch today because my hubby fancied a pizza and here did not disappoint. Friendly attentive staff and good tasty homemade food. Between us we had a pizza ( thin and crispy), a carbonara for my eldest made the authentic way, a garlic bread and skinny fries for my youngest and a caprese salad for me which had homemade pesto... A lovely hotel, ideally situated in the picturesque village of Bourton on the water. We spent three nights here and could not fault the hotel in any way. The staff were great and could not have been more friendly. There were crisp white bed linens and fluffy towels in the spotlessly clean room, and the excellent breakfast was freshly cooked... More

Located right in the centre this small hotel has character and style. It is a family run hotel and everyone was so friendly and cheerful. The freshley cooked breakfast was superb - no claggy, pale solid scrambled egg here. I had mine with smoked salmon and it was delicious. Had dinner in their L'Anatra restaurant which was also superb but... More

Friendly, helpful staff. Great location just set back from the idyllic village. Nicely laid out with bar, breakfast/dining, lounge. Convenient parking. Spacious, immaculately clean room. Nice, powerful shower.

It was average for we stayed there for two days and while there was no problems with the hotel which was in functioning order, there was nothing special. The town was very beautiful and scenic and with so. Much choice I might have stayed somewhere else next time.

A really good hotel in the centre of town, Room and en suite decorated to a high standard, the whole hotel was very comfortable and kept very clean. We ate in both the Bistro and Italian restaurants for dinner, the food was of a very high standard and very enjoyable. Breakfast was very good and started the day off very... More

A lovely hotel in a perfect location in Bourton. Our room was large but just lacked a bit of privacy due to being on the ground floor, with the bedroom window overlooking the beer garden meaning we kept the blind closed. Parking to the rear which can get a bit tight when the hotel is full - but any parking... More
