This is a lovely old hotel in a beautiful setting next to the River Coln. We had a superior de luxe room (#4) which was very quiet and well furnished. It had a decent sized bed, a small table and two armchairs in a spacious room. The bathroom was large but perhaps a little tired. The breakfast buffet had a... More

Travelling back from a lovely morning in Bath, we stopped off in Bibury for a wander and a coffee at the The Swan. A lovely looking place from the outside, with well-stocked bar, we ordered 2 coffees, 2 hot chocolates (with marshmallows) and some cakes. Having taken a seat in the bar we decided to go sit outside as the... More

Visited on a beautiful sunny August afternoon, early evening A beautiful drive out to Bibury, with the roof down enjoying the weather Parking was a nightmare, it was a busy day with lots of tourists The hotel bar had a pretty little courtyard outside, which was a sun trap and great to sit and people watch whilst contemplating the menu... My partner and I stopped in to the Swan to have a light lunch on a recent trip to Bibury as it had been a number of years since I was last in there. We ordered drinks and sat in the lovely courtyards enjoying the sun, finally found a menu to order some food and we decoded on a basket... More

My wife and I now live in the US but were married in England. We spent our honeymoon over 44 years at the Swan of Bibery. If anything, it is more beautiful than I remembered. The village is considered to be one of the most attractive in England. The only downside is that a lot of tourists have now discovered... More

After a lovely overnight stay in near by Burford, I was looking forward to visiting Bilbury before heading home. I had been recommended to go to The Swan, so thought we would have a coffee and lunch. On entering the bar a male staff behind the bar did not acknowledge us for five minutes as he was checking some change... More

Stopped for a light lunch with the family and sat in the brasserie as the bar was full and it was raining outside. We were served by a number of staff who seemed bored and quite indifferent to us as customers. The drinks were slow to arrive, the meals arrived at different times for each person, we had to ask... My wife and I would like to thank the Swan Hotel for helping to make our daughter’s wedding day, a day to remember. We would like to thank Charlotte (wedding co-ordinator) for all the hard work and commitment she and the staff put in to make the day run effortlessly. Her input and advice during the preparations was invaluable, and... More

Fantastic little village and wonderful hotel. Outstanding room and immaculate. You have to purchase Huggie the cuddly toy that is on your bed! Lovely little touches made the stay one of our nicest. Won't say what they were as you can enjoy the little surprises. Well worth a visit.

Very spacious room, bathroom on first floor; excellent lift. Limited parking is only available on the street adjacent to the Trout Farm which is very busy, but picturesque. Food general good ( we booked the Food Lovers packaged (D,B & B). Good Beer garden and overall very good ambience
