Having now been here a number of times the best best thing I can say about this place is it's convenience, possible to get a table most times of the day which says it all really. Called at 4 on a Saturday afternoon and had plenty of tables available, ordered wine and sat down. At best the service was average... More

Lovely stay at Milsoms. The room was large with an extremely comfortable bed. Staff were friendly and attentive. The private dining was exceptional and the food was very good in Mr G's. Shame that we don't have this kind of establishment near to where we live. Would defiantly recommend.

Stayed at hotel as eating at the in-house private dining restaurant- Mr G's. The hotel is very unique in its style / ambience. From this aspect it is totally 5*. The staff and quality of food (both for dinner & breakfast) were 5*++++. A great experience and one I'd recommend and go back to again. However, the only disappointment was... More

We were given a gift token to enjoy afternoon tea at Milsom''s Hotel. It was a beautiful day which added to the enjoyment of being well and truly looked after. We chose to sit outside which proffered beautiful views of Constable countryside. The staff were very good and the afternoon tea was delightful. There were a choice of sandwiches with... More

Yesterday lunchtime I ate here and my meal was excellent. I chose the unusual dish of aubergine and goat's cheese burger with courgette and feta fritters, and skinny chips. There was also a side dish of seasonal vegetables. Each part of the meal was extremely tasty. For dessert I had passionfruit delice which was also delicious. The wine, an Australian... More

Always a warm welcome and looked after by the staff, chilled, relaxed and consistent, such a quiet place to stay too, the restaurant serves consistently good food time after time in a relaxed atmosphere although nearer the end of the week it does get busy

We had a very nice lunch time meal here, sat outside in the sun and was served by a very polite helpful young man. I would recommend the food and drink to anyone who is after a nice lunch time treat, as I was for my friends birthday. Only spoil was the sullen bar lady. On our arrival I ordered... More

Only stayed one night room cosy, everything you want from lovely towels, toiletries etc. Only downfall creaky floorboards & windows need a clean, apart from that had a lovely stay plus dined at the Talbooth although pricey a lovely setting. Would definitely return.

Been a few times, very nice small country hotel, nice bar, well fitted out rooms but not large rooms, nice place for an overnight stay, meal and a drink. Breakfast cooked to order and would have 5 stars but ordered full breakfast with no beans, was asked if I wanted fried bread, which would have been great, and got beans... More

We had a delicious lunch here! The service was prompt and the people working there were friendly and helpful. There was a good variety of meals that we could choose from and without exception all the food was delicious. I would definitely be happy going back there!
