we stayed one night, Saturday 12th March and it was a real treat. Very peaceful and relaxing, with vast grounds. Breakfast was perfectly cooked with a good choice of fruit to start with. Dedham and the surrounding area is a beautiful place to explore.

Not Recommended. An over reliance on the 'appeal' of a dilapidated farm house, well past its best-buy date. The best description that could be said about the hosts would be 'inattentive' and/or 'disinterested', including during a power outage when we had to seek them to ask for a candle, rather than them seeking the guests to see if they needed...

We are so sorry that you did not enjoy your stay with us. We find it hard to understand most of your comments but do apologise for leaving you last on the night of the power cut. We had 14 people staying in the rooms around our studio and prioritised getting them safely back to their dark rooms. You, we...

From the lovely welcome with tea and home made cake to the reluctant farewell this was a great stay. The rooms are lovely, the setting so peaceful, the food is beautifully cooked and presented. It is perfectly placed for a lazy amble to Flatford Mill where there is more tea and lovely cake! Happy to recommend this place to everyone.

With a beautiful setting, fantastic garden and that rare quirky feel, this is guesthouse that could (just about) justify the high cost if all of these benefits could be combined with an attentive welcome. Although our initial greeting was simple enough, (the tea and cake were a nice touch), it was a surprise to be just shown to our room...

Just returned from a girls' night away, staying overnight at the Dedham Hall. Fantastically welcoming, relaxed place. Made to feel welcome from the minute we arrived. A perfect place for a recharge. Loved it, and will be back!

Quirky hotel. Lovely and friendly. Great food - both evening meal and breakfast. Lovely tea and cake. Nothing was too much trouble - even gluten free delicacies. Lovely room and great hosts. Characterful rooms - very cosy

I have just returned from a wonderful art residential course at Dedham Hall. Each day we were treated to breakfast, lunch and dinner and were served beautifully prepared and presented home cooked food. The breakfasts were fantastic - freshly cooked bread, local marmalade and eggs from chickens in the garden. The accommodation provides everything you need and is so convenient...

The hospitality here is a little fractured as the owners seem very busy with the painting activity that goes on there. The room was big but showing signs of wear and tear. There were plenty of cobwebs. The location is stunning but it's the breakfast that wows. The mushrooms and homemade bread were gthe stand outs.

We arrived at this restuarant by walking through the door with no greeting, even though we had booked our table a week in advance. We had to call out for the attention of someone, to which we were placed in a small lounge and asked what drinks we wanted without even seeing a drinks menu! We then sat in this...
