We stayed here for 2 nights because we planned to see as much of Rye as possible in the time we had. Really lovely place with friendly owners & staff. The room was clean & tidy with everything one needs & the breakfast was excellent. Would highly recommend Jeake's House for a stay in Rye.

Never been to Rye before. We stayed at Jeake's Hotel. From start to finish we enjoyed every minute of our stay. Considering we had paid the same price for a very ordinary hotel in Eastbourne the night before, Jeake's was amazing. Everything (other than maybe the view) was special and I would recommend the hotel to anybody. We will stay... More

We booked the Jeakes House because of the reviews on Trip Advisor and it certainly didn't disappoint and exceeded our expectations. It is an old property, comprising of 3 houses which have been joined into one. Therefore there are lots of stairs to negotiate but then Rye is not for anyone who has challenges walking up hills or on cobbled... More

Jeake's House in the historic Mermaid Street is an extremely comfortable and delightful boutique hotel. The guest room ( The Apothecary) was beautifully appointed and spacious. The bar and dining room have lovely furnishings and evoke an elegant past era. The staff are welcoming with friendly advice about Rye and its surrounds. The breakfast is very good and generous.

The bedrooms are amazing, lovely linen and furnishings (very important), with plenty of toiletries. Good choice for breakfast from the traditional egg and bacon, to kippers or kidneys. All the previous accolades apply and we are so happy that we, by chance, ended up totally at home in the Conrad Aiken room. No need to look any further....book your stay - Richard & Jenny will look... More

Located right in the centre on a cobbled street, Jeakes is a marvellously renovated baptist chapel- or similar- with plenty of character and 4 poster beds! Exceptional quality breakfast, welcoming hosts, attentive service, stylish honesty bar and quiet/piano room.We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and wholeheartedly recommend Jeakes, especially as the prices, for Rye, are not unreasonable.
