Stayed one night for a wedding being held nearby. Everything was efficient with reservation process. Parked in the Market car park on Rope Street. Would recommend dropping off luggage first as the walk though not long is difficult with cobbled streets. Room was a Junior Suite on its own. Stunning duplex arrangement with the stunning bathroom downstairs. Very large comfortable... More

Just come back from a mini break in Rye and stayed here at the George. The rooms were lovely and clean, comfortable beds and nice looking bar area and outside seating. However I have to say the service was very poor. It started on arrival when we were asked if we wanted to book dinner. They had no tables available... More

Stayed in a junior suite to celebrate our anniversary beautiful room staff were really friendly the hotel was very stylish ate in the grill restaurant fantastic ribeye steak and lobster surf and turf once again staff were very attentive. All in all a lovely stay can definitely recommend. Only slight niggle no aircon which would of been welcome on a... More

This hotel was beautifully decorated that provides top quality products for the things that make your stay just that little more comfortable i.e. tea, linen and toiletries. The wine selection is excellent and I was pleased to see some local choices. The grill menu is equally good and enables you to sample local produce. The only drawback - for an... More

Really hot day and this was a cool place to have lunch by an open window looking out onto the pretty Georgian buildings opposite. Service was excellent and the mussels were local (from Rye I was told). Great wine, cold beer and service with a smile. Good job George Inn!

We had a one night break in Rye and stayed and ate here. The staff are a young and freindly team who all clearly enjoy their work and this adds to the atmosphere. The decor is very stylish and the room was clean and well fitted out. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent too. Would definately stay again. One point... More

On another of our English driving adventures, we never pre-book anything. It was getting late so we called into the George to see if they had any rooms. Lucky for us they did. This is a elegant place with a history dating back to the 16th century. They even have a ballroom! After lugging our bags up several flights of... More

We stayed here for 4 nights to dtart our summer holiday & it was perfect. We were in Room 3, which is one of the smaller rooms. It was still a good size & had everything we needed - with some very inventive storage facilities! We had enjoyed "Mapp & Lucia" on TV & were keen to see the places... More

This meal was for a fair well evening for family going back to Australia. A very enjoyable meal with lobster steaks and fish. Yes, expensive but what a memorable evening. Best meal I have ever had in Rye. Definitely a place to go for a celebration meal

My husband and I and our 17 month old son stayed here to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We were in Junior Suite 8, which was gorgeous. It's a beautiful hotel and you feel incredibly looked after. The small touches and attention to detail, like the classical music playing in your room as you arrive and the lovely selection of tea... More
