I treated my niece to Lunch there yesterday, and as it was a lovely sunny day, we found a nice shady table in the corner, where we could also put my great niece's pram. The service was quick and the staff friendly, the food was good and fairly good value. My only negative is that I paid extra for Sweet... More

Stayed at the Dorset for 11 nights whilst working locally.Courteous helpful staff. Freindly locals. Food is very good but limited menu. Rooms are basic but tidy with comfortable beds. Would stay again.

Nice comfortable double room with lovely breakfast next day. Very reasonably priced £65. Rooms very clean and bed extremely comfy with a nice en suite shower. All in all would definitely recommend. Just for information premier inn wanted to charge £135 for same night stay with breakfast not included

Lovely pub, good selection of drinks. It was good to sample the local Harvey beer. They do 4 x 1/3 pint so you can sample of them!!Food was piping hot and very tasty. There was a good selection of snacks and meals. Not bad prices for Sussex. The staff were young but really helpful, nothing was too much trouble.

We have just had a 2 night stay. The staff were very friendly, the bed comfy, clean fresh white towels and a fanfastic breakfast. The smoked salmon and scrambled eggs were amazing. Only comment would be the bathroom needs a bit of TLC. A coat of paint and new Lino would make a big difference. All things considered, good value for money... More

I don't usually go for a pub meal, but when my friend suggested I meet her and an acquaintance at the Dorset Inn, I agreed. It was cosy and welcoming and had the feel of a country pub. The decor was rustic but nice. We were seated at the back of the pub. It was relatively spacious and the table... More

Stayed for 2 nights as a group of friends for a weekend in Lewes, walking the Way and sampling some Harvey's. The Dorset is in a great location at the end of the high street with a municipal car park over the road. Excellent cooked breakfast. Friendly staff. Pub has a great atmosphere and good beer. The 3 bedrooms themselves... More

Well where do we start! Went to Lewes for our 5th Anniversary and from the website it looked a nice place to stay and in the heart of the town, however that's where it ends! 70's style decor needed a refurb desperately, bathroom can only be described as disgusting, black mould in the shower along with rotting wood down by...
