As a member of the sailing squad based in newhaven, I stay in the castle fairly often.. The locals are friendly and the food is tasty. The balding barman is full of local knowledge and is always happy to help me on my probing journeys across Sussex. 5+

We stopped here last night because we were in the area for a function. It is a pub with bedrooms. It has no pretensions and does not try to be something it is not. We had a comfortable night and it certainly is handy base to explore the area or visit family and friends. The rooms were basic, but clean...

This Pub is just round the corner from me and in 12 years I've never visited it. But it was taken over this year and now is a wonderful place Totally child friendly (took my 3 year old niece) with lots of games and things for them to play with, nice friendly staff, food good, real ales, and looks like...

I must admit that I did hold some concerns when making the reservation, with regards to the economy room that I was booking. However after it was thoroughly explained to me what I was actually paying for, my concerns where laid to rest. The young lady, who had taken my reservation, explained that there was some work being carried out...

We recently held our daughters christening at the the cliff inn and all of the staff, extra help and support they gave was amazing. The food was delicious and everyone in the party commented about how tasty it was. With 60 guests there was never a queue at the bar and the kids were kept entertained all day with games,...

We read the reviews, most of which were very disparaging of the place. A couple of more recent reviews gave hope and it was very near the venue of a family party we were attending so we booked. Arriving at the bar to book into our rooms we were very pleasantly surprised at the spacious and relaxing bar and dining...

The cliff inn is currently undergoing a revamp. So far the downstairs bar area has been done, the outside with a lovely decking area. The bar is clean and the bar area also has been done lovely. The rooms are a little old and look like they have not been finished yet but they are comfortable and the bathrooms had...

The new cliff inn in peacehaven is a breath of fresh air. A light airy family friendly pub with great food and entertainment through most of the week including quizes, bands and BBQ. Fred is a great chef and offers plenty of choices. It has a large deck for those long summer evenings. Plenty of space to sit comfortably and...

The White Schooner is now The Cliff Inn and the new owners are very nice, and really making every effort to turn the place around. I stayed in a small single room which granted, was small, especially the bathroom, but at just £30 excluding breakfast, was good value. The food looked very nice, although I didn't partake. The rooms are...

We needed to visit our Daughter who had just moved to Peacehaven and, we thought, we'd have to stay in Brighton, however, after a quick Internet search we stumbled onto the Cliff, situated in Peacehaven High St. We soon realised that this Inn was formerly the White Schooner and, after we read reviews on here, we almost didn't book, but,...
