We visited The Roebuck a couple of years ago and found it unwelcoming, bland and tired. However, the new owners seem to have given the place a proper kick up the backside and have turned it into a warm friendly place with an excellent selection of interesting beers, good food and most importantly a warm welcome. Local ales, pigs in... More

I stayed here one my own for one night, probably too expensive for what you get and no reduction for solo traveler. That said, lovely accommodation in that mine was a pretty room, lots of good 'complimentary' quality teas and coffees and biscuits as well as a small mini bar. Also breakfast was excellent which is really what prompted me... More

nice local pub with some interesting and mad decorative effects. The men's urinals are a special feature...into the mouths of gargoyles... The staff and service was good and the atmosphere convivial. Food however was only ok, let down a little by overdone Yorkshire pud. There is a large garden including wandering hens and a small pig paddock, the occupants of... More

Stopped for a couple of nights following Goodwood revival and the weather forecast of an Indian summer. Great choice, lovely accommodation, great breakfast, (especially the scrambled egg) good choice for evening meal and nice staff. Would stay again for sure when in the area.

The food is lovely & varied. The menu had such a excellent choices it was hard to choose. Our elderly companion was happy with a small portion main course which is available but then had room for a delicious pud. Make sure you visit the cloakrooms, the decor is great. Outside kids can be entertained by the pigs & chickens... More

Although the food was expensive- £12 + for a meal the staff, menu , food, atmosphere was great, not somewhere I could afford to eat all the time but on holiday so able to treat ourselves, I'm. A vegetarian and have never been to a place with so much vegetarian options, was refreshing not having to put up with chips... More

The Roebuck Inn is a lovely little find. We stayed on a Friday night in August, and unlike most B&Bs in the area, you do not have to book for the Friday and Saturday nights which is nice. The whole place is quirky, with the décor very much a modern take with some elaborate metal work while still retaining the... More

Great pub with impressive and quirky interior. Family friendly with pigs and chickens in the garden. Pub games plus a piano. Great selection of real ale and craft beer. Top notch staff too. Menu looked good but we didn't eat.

Stayed at the Roebuck for one night between back to back excellent productions at Glyndebourne. We were extremely well looked after by Dom and his team. The guest rooms are, I presume, the old stables and are well equipped and comfortable with a fridge and mini bar, modern bath room; no TV so bring Ipad - there is free wifi... More

Visited this pub after a trip to Blackberry Farm, though they also have some pigs and chickens in their garden which was a nice surprise for our wee boy. Really good extensive menu for food and drinks. Helpful friendly staff with welcoming locals. I wished this pub was around the corner from me or maybe I should move...
