This is a very special hotel where extraordinary effort has gone into theming each room around locations like Manhattan, Africa and Morocco, even down to the style of bath and toilet - you get square and small in Japan, ice-like tile effects in Antartica. There is a real emphasis on the sensual with lots of textures and mood lighting but... More

That's not necessarily a great claim to fame as there are few to compare with, but it's certainly an excellent example of the popular boutique style of hotel with unique themed rooms. We chose Antartica, a large room with huge sea view, vast comfy bed and roomy deep bath. The young people working there were charming without exception. Food in... More

We have been a number of time before staying in South America, Japan, Africa and Antarctica. But this time we chose the Manhattan Rooftop. Check in was quick and easy car parking just across the road in the underground car park. And by the time I got back cocktails had already been delivered to the room. We had our dog... More

Very much enjoyed our stay here. A very comfortable and attractive room (South America) with a lovely bed and huge bath. The breakfast was excellent and very generous, and you can choose to eat in your room or in the restaurant. It was relaxing to eat in the room whilst enjoying the sea view. The staff were helpful and polite.... More

Special anniversary arranged by my wife. Stayed overnight in the 'Bali' room and had dinner and breakfast in their 'Pier 9' restaurant. Could not fault. Room very good, food excellent and staff very friendly and professional.

Comfortable beds and good sea view but NO LIFT. Stayed in Antarctica with faulty TV and low hanging icicle chandelier, which bumped my head several times. Friendly but amateur service. Not worth the money spent.

We stayed on the top floor, in ‘India’ which was one of the cheaper rooms, £115 B&B, and it was absolutely fabulous so I would have loved to have seen one of the larger sea view rooms, they must be spectacular! The room was tastefully decorated with some gorgeous pieces of original furniture and a fabulous, comfortable bed. There was... More

Stayed in room Antartica, bed comfortable with a sea view which made the room. Bathroom well equipped with towels changed daily. Stains on the sofa upholstery in the bedroom, bulbs needing to be replaced above sink and TV not working are unacceptable for the price and high ratings. These were fixed but should have been checked between guests. The staff... More

We stayed in the South American Room, spacious, open plan bathroom, double bath. Wonderfully Romantic setting with an unobstructed sea view. absolute delight to wake up to. Staff were attentive without being overbearing, took care of everything for us, so we could just relax in the beautiful surroundings. Location was close enough to the main town centre, just a short... More

Recently stayed for 2 nights and can't fault it. Attentive but discreet staff, lovely room and great food in the restaurant. We stayed in 'Bali' and it was plenty good enough for us with a very comfortable bes. Not much more to say - thoroughly recommended
