Stayed here for 6 days, it was warm and welcoming. Stayed at the very top of the house so was fit by the end of my stay. The bedroom was very nice, with a comfy bed, and very clean. The TV had a few problems, as they were having aerial problems. Tea and coffee was replenished every day. But only... More

We stayed at The Amblecliffe on the 21 & 22 of August 2015. It was our 2nd stay at this great B&B. The owners are friendly, helpful and accommodating. The rooms are clean , the food is great and the location is ideal for the beach or the town. 10 out 10, again. We will be visiting again.

Have just stayed here for the past two nights. Very clean, lovely decor, lot of stairs, which is to be expected from a Victorian house. One of the friendliest proprietors you could meet. Also very informative about the local area and eating places. Was spot on with the advice on the local Turkish restaurant. Enjoyed our stay and would stay... More

Very welcoming hosts including two French bulldogs which pounced on us, beautiful room, top floor with sea view, great English breakfasts with yummy herby sausages sourced locally, perfect wifi and location for coast, Kemptown and The Lanes area.

Stayed here recently on a golfing trip with 3 mates. Good location (although street parking only, so spaces a bit scarce) very clean with good facilities. Excellant breakfast and really nice service. Would highly reccommend

Stayed here for 2 nights with some friends for WILDLIFE Festival which was fab! As there were three of us we shared a family room which was one double room with a joining single room. The room was very nice and felt very spacious. Loved the shutters and the jammy dodger tea cups - was a nice touch. The lady... More

Terry was a wonderful hostess and made fantastic scrambled eggs for breakfast. Clean, warm, quiet, securewondergully hot power shower, great location for the seafront, Kemptown, the Lanes and lots of nearby restaurants. Only negative was the mattress was a bit hard for our taste, but each to their own. Parking permits £10 for 24hours which works well, so long as... More

Another fantastic weekend! I've stayed at the Amblecliff many times but have to say it has without a doubt got better every time, the breakfast is superb, comfy room and the shutters and decor are lovely. Terry and Andrew the owners make you feel welcome from start to finish and I cannot wait to visit again. My friends were very... More

Your hosts Terry and her husband Andrew both make your stay at the Amblecliffe, Terry for the warmth of her welcome and Andrew for the superb cooking of your breakfast! It is a while since I had stayed in a B&B and had forgotten the joy of the personnel touch they can offer - you will feel truly at home... More

Lovely B&B, would highly recommend. Great hosts, very friendly and welcoming. We had room 9, was a lovely spacious room, very modern. Lovely big bathroom and the bed was so comfy. Breakfast was lovely, great choice. Good location for the beach, city centre and bars. My only criticism is my first impression when arriving. As said in another review the... More
