Stayed here for two nights, 2 adults and 2 teenage daughters in a family room, and overall was okay some good and some poor features, with highlights: Pros: - great location a few short walk to the beachfront, a 5 mins walk to the pier and a 10mins walk to the lanes, and in a nice street. (Parking was okay,quite... More

We stayed at the New Cosmopolitan last Friday for the night. Whilst the location is great, around 20 min walk to the station and 15min to the lanes, it was quite pricey for what it was. I paid £125 for a sea view room. The view was nice but the bathroom was in poor bad, needing a paint job badly.... More

The view If the pier is lovely, but one of the windows couldn't open right, small wholes in wall and carpet, very poor pressure of water in the bath. You can hear everything from the nearest rooms, which can be tough in the party-city of Brighton. Breakfastroom was very noisy, and at sunday morning the couldn't match the no. of... More

Great location but very down market in it's furnishings. A bit like a hostel feel to it. No local parking. Really old, cheap furniture. Too expensive for what it is - there must be nicer places to go. Would not go back if you paid me.

In its heyday, this grand off seafront hotel would have bustled with the genteel visiting to sip the sea air. In 2016, the promise of a flamboyant Pride celebration perhaps necessitates a more flexible hostelry. While the welcome at New Cosmopolitan was warm (enough), and the attention to housekeeping diligent (enough), this once grand house is in desperate need of... More

Me & my girlfriend stayed here for two nights (tues 19th - wed 20th july) in room 48. The staff were friendly and polite , location was excellent 2 mins from beach. We could actually see the pier from our room. Our room was quite large with a TV on wall , wardrobe , chest of drawers , table &... More

Totally not what was advertised and believe me there was nothing remotely 'NEW' about this place!! Faulty Towers springs to mind!! interior decor very poor, damp patches everywhere. Bathroom was very dark. Shower cubicle door hanging off and couldn't shut it. Shower was either off or burning hot. the door to our room was so poorly fitted any time anyone... More

The word NEW in the name is nothing to do with this place. The B&B is of a very poor standard, Windows, doors and furnishing have all had their day. This is not reflected in the tariff as paid £85 for double room . Cleanliness is not of a good standard but compensated by a good breakfast with helpful and... More

My boyfriend and I did enjoy ourselves at the New Cosmopolitan, as it was just a nice night away. However, we both thought the room needed a little bit of TLC to brighten up the room. We stayed in a very large seaview room which was very much worth the money, though there was a large empty space.

Disappointing stay. Room was dirty very small and very dated. Lightbulbs missing. Television didnt work and the bed linen was grubby. Pillows were paper thin. No hot water Staff were not very welcoming. If I had been travelling by myself or as a couple I would demanded a refund. The only reason we stayed was due to being in a... More
