Made a last minute decision to stay in Brighton and booked a room in the Amsterdam Hotel. Thank goodness we did not pay full price. Needs some work doing on "smartening up". Everything looked very tired. The room was very basic and quite clean although...More
Full marks for friendly welcome all round – even the hotel’s security staff during the Pride madness. Very central place to stay. Room was as described on the website. Extremely comfortable bed. Loved the ham provided as part of the continental breakfast in a breakfast...More
I liked the look of this hotel. Sits right in the sea front in a good location, has a neat little bar and the rooms were cosy.
WiFi was free, TV was there, towels and wash bits included. Continental breakfast included also.

The bathroom was small and very slippery which isn't too good when you...More

Brighton and Hove is probably the most unfriendly city in the UK towards car owners. If you can, avoid taking a car into Brighton. Use public transport. A 24 hour parking ticket that is useable only in area "C" where the hotel is situated will cost you £8.00 for twenty-four hours. You can but this from the hotel - but finding a space is not the easiest of tasks!. Public transport in Brighton is excellent and day passes are available for just the inner city (£2.50 per day,) the larger part of the city that costs a bit more and for anywhere that is about £7.00 from memory.
