This is hands down the best hostel in Brighton. I have no idea why the average rating on Trip Advisor is 3 stars for this place. The location is IMPOSSIBLE to beat. It's literally right next to Brighton pier. You can see the ocean from your room, it's fabulous. The wifi works everywhere, although it can be slow in the... More

Our family of 6 stayed for 3 nights. The hostel itself is quite run down however our room was clean, bright and the beds were really comfortable. Staff were great and location can't be beaten, right on the promenade

Fantastic location, close to everything. The room however was really dirty, the hallway and (bath)room need redecoration. The man who checked us in was friendly, the rest of the staff not so much. It was ok for one night, but wouldn't return.

Not a bad hostel. Very cheap and in a great spot. You pay for that with average rooms and facilities. Definitely worth it for a night or two in Brighton. Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean sheets and bedding. All you need really.

Location fantastic, beautiful views of the sea and pier. Staff were very nice and helpful. The hostel itself though was very scruffy and run down. In fairness the beds were very comfortable with clean linen. Again the shower room was actually clean but because it's all in need of a decent redecoration it looks like it is dirty when it... More

Had everything I wanted: cheap, a comfortable bed, friendly staff, free breakfast, great location (just over the road from the beach, near the pier, magnificent views of the beach out the window of my second-floor room). Only real concern was the lack of individual lockers for luggage security (but otherwise security seemed pretty strong).

We booked 5 ladies into a 6 bunkbed room (we just paid the extra place so we didn't have to share!) It had a shower room. The room and bathroom were clean and tidy. The beds were comfy with clean linen and warm duvets. The security getting into the hostel was top notch with electronic key cards. You couldn't get... More

Excellent location opposite the pier and close to the Laines. The beds in our room were falling apart but didn't expect much anyway. Good for the price and location but don't expect much. Good for people going away for a night or so with friends and don't intend to spend much time in the room.

I recently stayed at HostelPoint for two nights as part of a Stag weekend. If you are attending Brighton to go out and just want somewhere to crash then this should be fine - likewise if you are a seasoned hostel user. However, if your idea of slumming it is staying in a Travelodge then this is probably not for... More
