Stayed for one night with friends as a cheap bed for a night out. We had a leak which we discovered at 17:00 reported to reception. From which nothing was done. We were then woke at three in the morning by what I can only described as a water fall coming through the ceiling. When the repair man was called... More

Hostelpoint is a great hostel for a few days. It is relatively cheap and you get what you pay for. The facilities and the rooms are quite basic but they do the job. The location of the hostel is perfect as it is at the coast and you can see the pier from most of the rooms. There's no parking... More

There was nothing particularly wrong with the hostel but for the amazing reviews I had read online it wasn't a very clean hostel. It also looks like it hadn't been renewed for so long. The communal area also looked very shabby and the bathroom downstairs is pretty nasty. The location is great, it is right outside the national express coach... More

Yes the building is in need of a lick of paint and scrubbing but it is a hostel at the end of the day. Stayed here over bank holiday, top floor (a lot of stairs be warned) private room with ensuite. Basic but everything you need. The location itself is amazing, right near the pier and literally 5 mins if... More

This is hands down the best hostel in Brighton. I have no idea why the average rating on Trip Advisor is 3 stars for this place. The location is IMPOSSIBLE to beat. It's literally right next to Brighton pier. You can see the ocean from your room, it's fabulous. The wifi works everywhere, although it can be slow in the... More

Our family of 6 stayed for 3 nights. The hostel itself is quite run down however our room was clean, bright and the beds were really comfortable. Staff were great and location can't be beaten, right on the promenade

Fantastic location, close to everything. The room however was really dirty, the hallway and (bath)room need redecoration. The man who checked us in was friendly, the rest of the staff not so much. It was ok for one night, but wouldn't return.

Not a bad hostel. Very cheap and in a great spot. You pay for that with average rooms and facilities. Definitely worth it for a night or two in Brighton. Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean sheets and bedding. All you need really.

Location fantastic, beautiful views of the sea and pier. Staff were very nice and helpful. The hostel itself though was very scruffy and run down. In fairness the beds were very comfortable with clean linen. Again the shower room was actually clean but because it's all in need of a decent redecoration it looks like it is dirty when it... More

Had everything I wanted: cheap, a comfortable bed, friendly staff, free breakfast, great location (just over the road from the beach, near the pier, magnificent views of the beach out the window of my second-floor room). Only real concern was the lack of individual lockers for luggage security (but otherwise security seemed pretty strong).
