We stayed in the en-suite double room on the 3rd/top floor. It was a bit of a climb with bags as there didn't seem to be a lift, so be prepared. You are not given room keys but a code for the door to your room. This seemed like quite a good idea, however when we were checking in, you... More

The hostel is conveniently located and the staff was friendly enough, but that is all there is. Very run down hostel with leaks all throughout (including in the dorm on the bed above mine while I was there, solution was to give her a bowl to catch the drip). Very noisy area as there is a continuous flow of traffic... More

I stayed here as a long term guest. The people at the hostel are lovely including most of the staff but the manager - Silvia was constantly kicking guests out of the hostel for no explainable reason. She made long term guests feel unwelcome and as if they could be kicked out at any minute. For a stag do it... More

Some very harsh reviews on here left me wondering if this was the correct place to stay. There were 15 of us in an 18 man dorm and this place made it an amazingly funny experience. You pay for what you get, the staff were spot on and the toilets and showers were spotless. The room was very tight but... More

Was in Brighton for the festival and booked there. The staff was lovely and really helpful even those the hostel was quite busy. The room was quite pack but it was a weekend which is normal I guess. Decent hostel, cleanliness good. The location was perfect for Warren festival, walking distance to the train station, restaurant and bar. Great stay,... More

My friend and I stayed here over bank holiday weekend and I would definitely recommend it if you're heading to Brighton. Hotels can all get really expensive, so for what we paid, it was exactly what we needed. The beds were comfortable, we stayed in an all girls dorm, and felt comfortable during our stay. The facilities were fine and... More

Great place to stay on a budget: nice and clean, recently refurbished and very well located (close to the train station, beach and city centre). The staff is very friendly and helpful. Comfy beds, free wifi, cosy lobby area with a cheap bar. Definitely deserves a top rating!

Uncomfortable atmosphere, terrible smell of wet socks, cigarettes and sweat in our dorm. We were two girls staying in a 12-bed dorm with really strange occupants and no lockers(!) so we felt really unsafe. There was also a lot of noise from the street outside and since we had to have the window open the whole night (in March!) due... More

This was literally the worst place I have ever stayed in my life, and I have slept on bags of nuts in open barns before! On a serious note, read the reviews. They are all true. We were on the top floor, and I would have thrown myself out, but for the fact they don't allow the windows to be... More

1. Cleanliness -or lack thereof. EVERYWHERE. 2. Overflowing sanitary bins in both the top floor bathrooms. 3. Mouldy, grimey showers that leave water puddles everywhere, as well as a push to start which lasts all of ten seconds. 4. Pillows so thin you may as well not have one. 5. Claims of two large spacious cooking areas .. One has... More
