Queue to check in was horrendous as there was only one person at the desk. After waiting 30 mins to check in, our room wasn't even ready even though we arrived at 3 o'clock (an hour after check in time). Lifts don't work, so we had to walk up 2 flights of stairs with heavy suitcases. Room was nice but... More

The hotel is in great location, although the room I stayed was quite noisy, could hear other people's tvs and slamming doors and talking in the corridors, comfy bed and good signal. Good for the one night stay for a basic room!

We arrived at 1pm (as we had pre booked early checking from 12) and we were made to wait well after normal checking time. Had to pay for parking. Overall hotel desperately need of updating. Lift didn't work most of time time. Room was small, basic and hot (however noisy fan provided). Breakfast was average served in overcrowded hot restaurant... More

Lovely Provilege bedroom situated in Tbe Mews section of the hotel complete with coffee machine. Very comfortable bed. Breakfast was excellent. Thought £15 per night for parking was expensive a S we parked in the disabled parking bay at the front of the hotel and could have parked free of charge across the road.

So we booked via last minute.com secret hotel as I'd heard good things about these hotels. We paid nearly £110 a night for a 4* privilege room so I was expecting a spacious room with the listed added extras. We had just got married so wanted a nice short break away. There was only one robe and slippers, when I... More

We read reviews both food and bad on this hotel and like all in seafront towns it is run down from the outside. On the inside its dated and has quite grand staircase that's clearly in need of updating the front of hotel. The place is run down, lift not working properly, when it did the doors didn't shut fully.... More

On arrival the staff were very polite and helpful. Great location. It's a bit of a maze to find your hotel room and the lift is a pain but there is a sign saying about the lift. The room was small but it would do for one night. But there was only a little window and the room was pretty... More

We had originally booked the classic room but were delighted to find out that we had been upgraded to the sea view room with balcony, upon request, for no extra charge. Would have stayed in Brighton for more than one night if we knew we would get such a nice room. Overall the condition was good, only negative was that... More

Stayed here for two nights, staff friendly, nothing too much trouble although booking we were given a double instead of twin room which I had booked and had paperwork for so did feel that we were being questioned on this? How ever room was sorted and it's okay, clean and beds comfortable. The hotel is looking tired and needs updating,... More

Thanks for your comments and I am pleased you found the staff helpful and friendly. Unfortunately we do not have air conditioning however the hotel has started a refurbishment program with 52 bedrooms completed so far and further investment to follow after the season. I hope you will return in the future when visiting Brighton. Iain Lindsay More

I went last weekend to stay at this hotel for one night. It's great that is in front to the sea, but you need to pay to park, which I think is not right. Me and my husband we bought a voucher that included one night, breakfast and dinner, so we were not expecting the best room, but the one... More

Thank you for your review after your recent stay at the hotel. I apologise we do not meet your expectations regarding air conditioning however this is not a facility we advertise. On all website we do mention that parking is chargeable and we have the cheapest parking within all hotels and the public car parks close to us. Once again... More
