I stayed here for one night on business and had a very pleasant stay. The hotel is clean, the staff are lovely and the location is a 2 minute walk from the i360. There is parking but it’s not cheap at £25 so I chose to stay at a secure car park which I’ve used before at the Regency Square car park which was £9.50. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

We stayed here in December and left just before Christmas. On arrival there was easy parking and the most friendly and professional receptionist,Tanya, who looked after us. We were allocated a spotless and beautiful bedroom where we were also greeted with a lovely Christmas card , together with chocolates, from the Hotel Manager and his Team. A lovely gesture.?We had a long chat with Brendan, the Hotel Manager, and felt totally comfortable that the best Covid practice is in place. We will definitely book for 2021. Thank you so much Brighton, Mercure.

Wanted to say Thank you to Barry for the upgrade to a Sea view room, we were really happy with the room & Hotel in general. The Restaurant manager wasn't overly friendly, took a few minutes to acknowledge us standing waiting to be seated, and never came near us again, a nod of the head would be nice, but Dimtri who was looking after us in the Restaurant was very helpful. Lovely cooked breakfast so no complaints. I think they are doing a good job at this difficult time

Before our three night break we looked at a few hotels on seafront. We opted for Mercure because it had a nice looking bar, breakfast and dinner available and we decided to upgrade to a sea view. We had to wait until 6pm to get into our room but was offered a complimentary drink (we had ordered one already) and then when checking out we were told the drinks we’d chosen weren’t part of the complimentary drink option!!!! There was no dinner which was disappointing though did force us to sample the many wonderful restaurants in the area. We had breakfast once and it was ok, nothing special though there was plenty. Room was lovely and the hotel had good covid rules, staff did the best they could but clearly needed more staff in order to allow clients to check in before 6pm. We were disappointed with the bar, there was no lager on any of the days. Think carefully about the £18 parking charge...other hotels don’t charge. Overall the stay was ok but we will go to Hotel du Vin or Malmaison next time.

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay at the Mercure Brighton Seafront Hotel. We are sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations, please allow us to express our sincerest apologies. We are very fortunate to have onsite parking, one of the very few hotels in Brighton to have this facility. Parking is priced competitively with other hotels in the city and is under constant review to ensure our rates are always in line with, or lower than local secure parking. Every hotel on the seafront that has access to parking charge for the facility and at £18.00 ours is the cheapest of them all

We stayed here for 3 nights. We managed to get the last space in the car park, £18 a night, which we expected. We were told we had to pay all 3 nights upfront and if we left the car park throughout the trip we were not guaranteed a space back in the car park and would not get a refund for the money we had paid if we couldn’t get a space. We were going to go somewhere in the car during our stay but this put us off as the car park was always full and we didn’t want to have to pay in another car park when Mercure had already taken our money. This was quite disappointing!! Other than that we enjoyed our stay at this hotel.

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay at the Mercure Brighton Seafront Hotel. We very much appreciate your feedback and it is always a pleasure to receive positive feedback. We are very fortunate to have onsite parking and although limited to 40 spaces, one of the very few hotels in Brighton to have this facility. Parking is priced competitively with other hotels in the city and is under constant review to ensure our rates are always in line with, or lower than local secure parking. We only charge for parking should you car be recorded as being in the car park so any unused payments would have been refunded and I'm sorry this was not conveyed to you, I will certainly address this with the front office team
