Value: Stayed for 1 night, booked myself and a colleague in that afternoon, 2 single rooms (which were actually twin rooms) costing a total of £86....which was excellent value. Room: Rooms were clean, equipped with everything you would want for a commuter stay over with the exception of a hairdryer. Location: Granted, it's Brighton, that aside, the sun was shining... More

I booked a weekend stay for myself, husband and 10 year old son at the Albion during a bank holiday, paying a premium rate of over £250 per night. While the hotel is well situated close to pier, it is severely lacking in cleanliness, comfort and service. Upon checking in we were given a top floor room with no windows,... More

This is our third weekend break and no improvement despite previous complaints.. The rooms are old and as the hotel is old that is to be expected. But surely it is acceptable that they should be cleaned properly, I did not see a housekeeper the whole weekend. we requested a sea view, but the windows were dirty and covered in... More

Booked last minute, paid £129 for a double room, not cheap at all, was a little shocked that you don't get a brekkie in with that either. Room was spacious, and very clean, an iron + board, hairdryer and tea and coffee making facilities all provided. Bathroom sink had a huge crack that had been repaired, the bed was not... More

Not a nice place... old basic and a lot of money for what it is... helpful staff asked for a fan and some pillows as our room had no windows and 2 THIN pillows. Room very very hot. Bed uncomfortable no head Board.. but only had to go here as had to walk out of the new cosmopolitan hotel which... More

My fiancé and I stayed here in July. Our room was in the basement which wasn't what we had asked for. Dark, dingy and dirty. Obviously as we were in the basement there were no windows or natural light and it was like a sauna day and night. The beds were hard and pillows were so flat. Smelt of sewage... More

Had good room overlooking park. Good size room. Large bath and quite deep. No complaints about room at all. Bar was nice too. Had happy hour in there celebrating our anniversary. Only downside during the night other guests were too noisy. No consideration. Would be nice if security could monitor during night and catch these noisy guests as we had... More

Stayed here a few times and this time was possibly the best room we've had yet. Booked through expedia one of their secret room breaks and this is what we were given. Got a triple room part facing sea/coach park, £151 for 3 nights (about £27 cheaper than booking a double room direct). Only stayed room only as didn't think... More

Don't accept a room on floor 1 of the hotel. There is a club that blasts music until 2am that literally vibrates your room it is so loud. The hotel has not been well maintained (cracks in walls, missing or broken light fixtures, etc.) But the location makes up for it. It is very centrally located and it is easy... More
