Location wise - the hotel is great. Unfortunately, that's the only positive I can give on it. Rude, unhelpful staff and a building in need of serious renovation. My room was shabby - two broken lamps, a TV that didn't work, no working wifi, hairs in the shower and a toilet that looked like it was last cleaned in another...

I stayed last night in 553 a top floor room. We had a view of the pier which you could only just see as the windows don't look like they are ever clean. The TV is tiny and located in the wrong bit of the room. The wifi wasn't working. The duvet was as thin as paper and the bed...

Booked online because looked lovey on photos. Looks are deceiving. Disgusting place, 1st room was in the basement, pubic hairs in the bath. Asked for none smoking but smelt terrible. Complained so got moved to another room. Looked lovely as we walked in but the bath was cracked, mould all in the bathroom. Dirty walls, skylight held in with gaffer...

We booked last minute for an evening - myself, husband and 11 month old. The room was a good size - basic but fine, and we had a great view of he pier and beach. The hotel is quite dated, but the location is great. Good sized bar with reasonable priced food. Would book here again for the price we...

Brilliant view; comfortable room- spacious. I like its old- fashionedness. More tea and coffee facilities needed and a reading light. Lounge comfortable and dining room good value at £12 for 3 courses. Centrality wins!

The Britannia chain is just awful so after realising I had booked one of their hotels by mistake, I wasn't expecting much. BUT. It was fine. Large room. Clean. Friendly staff. Ok breakfast. The 10am check out is just taking the piss though.

This was my first and last stay in this hotel , we travelled with Blakes Coach tours who were SUPERB . Sadly this hotel left a lot to be desired , it needs a complete renovation , the room we had on the first floor was facing the sea front and the noise of the traffic made it unbearable, the...

Don't stay here if you want clean. The place was dirty and dusty. The rooms are freezing as the wind blows through the old window frames. This place needs updated and bleached. Try the Travelodge at least it's clean!! Very disappointed.

The hotel reception staff were very helpful and sorted a room for us as soon as we arrived but the room just had this awful smell. We were only staying the one night so whilst out in the town I purchased some air freshner but even with this and the window being opened the smell lingered , the room seemed...
