We only booked a one night stay due to the weather being too bad for a camping trip so my review will be a positive one! To be honest I was really concerned about staying here after reading reviews. If I had paid £200 for a night I might have been disappointed but the way I look at it ,you... More

My wife and I were thinking of having a couple of nights in the Brighton area, but were quite amazed at the price of the hotels. Even the ' cheaper ' ones were not cheap. Having been with National Holidays a few times, we are on their mailing list, and received at this time, 4 nights in Brighton, with visits... More

Dirty, smelly room, hairs on the bathmat, shabby old furnishings, uncomfortable beds. Air con was portable didn't work , tv didn't work. The bar toilets were filthy. The food was revolting we ate there once but not again. Dining area like a grubby canteen .Basically a rotten experience some staff ok but one was quite rude. Really there are much better... More

First the 2 pros: location, literally opposit the pier / massive family room. Cons: dirty, rock hard beds, would not use bath as full of black limescale, needed a good clean everywhere, drunk yobs shouting outside the Windows Til 4am then woke to bongos being played at 5.30am outside. It was the local gathering place for the yobs with cans... More

We stayed at The Royal Albion just for one night, as we had theatre tickets and didn't want the drive back to London. We had pre-booked, and upon arrival the check in and gaining access to our rooms were pretty straight forward. the reception staff were great. The hotel dates back to 1826, and so accessibility for the disabled is... More

This was probably a great grand hotel back in the day but unfortunately time has taken its toll and a lack of investment means that it is a shabby shadow of its former self. Filthy windows, shabby furniture, a bathroom with cracked tiles, shrunken, mouldy grout/sealant, and a television that only receives 5 channels only added to my general disappointments.... More

A large hotel harking back to a past era. It has large rooms with plenty of space. The room we had looked to have been refurbished. It had everything we needed. The food was hot and plentiful, and served on a help yourself basis. There was entertainment each night in the comfy lounge. The hotel is ideally placed being directly... More

Happy to recommend as a stop-gap. Rooms are always clean and staff polite. Is a little soul-less but I have never had any complaints. Some great views from rooms on the front and back of hotel, and overnight parking is often easy to find close by.

Me and my partner stayed in this hotel as a stop over on our way to Bognor. Once arriving we was allocated in an under ground room with no windows only could be described as a prison room. Being under ground you can imagine we had no phone signal and no wifi, any other time wouldn't be a problem but... More

We were having a very jolly evening at the Hotel du Vin when our planned transport home had to cancel. Booked at room at the RA via booking.com. at short notice - OK price Room in the depths of the hotel = quiet night - but if we had planned to stay we would have been very unhappy about what... More
