Great place, derek was very attentive and on arriving were offered tea or something stronger, breakfast was lovely, great choice and freshly made. Room was a little small but very clean and well appointed. Derek was very helpful with ideas for eating out. Would definitely stay again.

First visit to this hotel, as soon as you arrive you're offered tea/coffee/beer and immediately feel welcomed by the fabulous hosts Derek and Garry. We had a double room with en suite facilities. Lovely touches on arrival of fresh milk for the room and a variety of tea/coffee/hot chocolate/biscuits and sweets! The breakfast is amazing cooked fresh to order and...

Spent a long weekend here whilst visiting family and couldn't have chosen better. Garry and Derek made us feel very welcome straightaway, even coming out to the taxi to help with our bags. The hotel is small but every space has been well utilised and our room was very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and nothing was too much trouble with...

We staid in Cavalaire Hotel in the beginning of Nov. 16 for a long weekend. Very easy booking through their website, and almost immediate confirmation email with details regarding arrival. Careful, during the weekend, check-in time is limited. Gary and Derek were really nice and welcoming. They upgraded us in a bigger, more comfortable room because we had plenty of...

He escorted us to our room with a four poster bed. The room was very clean and modern with WiFi and flat screen TV. The hotel is close to...

This was our second time staying at the Cavalaire, and both have been splendid. The rooms are immaculately clean, well decorated, and the bed and shower are great. The hotel is well located in kemptown and and easy walk down to the water and city centre. Garry and Derek really are fantastic hosts! I can see us returning again!

This is a lovely b&b run by lovely people, as you walk up to the front you are greeted by a facade that is "soulful shade of blue" once inside Derek and Gary will do everything to make you feel welcome in the really well looked after surroundings. I could go on all day about how good this place is...

First impressions of the Cavalaire very clean on the outside, my husband & myself were met at the front door by Derek who was extremely helpful with the car parking.
