We stayed in Ainsley for four nights. We booked a large double room in a higher floor with a seating area in the bay window - amazing sea view! The room was very clean and comfortable. The decor is a little dated but we liked it. The freshly cooked breakfast was also very good (especially the muffins:) The owner and... More

Recenty (28th Nov) visited Brighton and booked a night at the Ainsley House, choosing to stay in one of the rooms with a view, and what a view i was treated too, with it directly over looking the pier, with the room having a small table and two comfy chairs under the window, to allow you to relax and enjoy... Fantastic value B&B with friendly staff and a great Full English Breakfast - what else do you need?! The new owner from April 2013 is gradually doing the place up. Superb location just off the beach and walking distance from all the bars and restaurants on St James Street. The Lanes are about 10 mins walk down the road.......Not sure... More

We have just returned from a few days away in Brighton. This hotel was recently taken over in April and the owner is steadily breathing new life into it! Our room was a good size, very clean with crisp white linen sheets and soft, thick fluffy towels not to mention tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryer and a mini fridge. The staff... More

We've stayed in Brighton many times and the accommodation has been variable but Ainsley House has been the best so far. The location is perfect, the manager and staff are efficient and pleasant, it's very clean and the breakfast is excellent. We will definitely put this at the top of our list when we next look for accommodation in Brighton.

Myself, partner and son went and stayed there. Me and my partner had a double room, our son had a single. Tea and coffee is provided in each room. The double was an en-suite, there was a shared bathroom on the landing for the non en-suite rooms. The whole place was lovely and clean (which is the main thing I... More

My family (8 of us) stayed for 1 night after our daughter wedding. Could not have picked a better place to stay for the price I paid. The rooms were basic but very clean & comfortable. Tea & coffee tray in room. The full English breakfast was great including cereal, toast, fruit. If you are looking for a convenient place... More

We had a good night at Ainsley House Hotel, our room was small but clean and functional. The area is nice, and the sea is just across the street. Breakfast was ok, although our coffee wasn't very good. We couldn't really sleep at night because of noisy seagulls, but there's not much the hotel can do about it! They could... More

Stayed for one night in August. The room was basic but clean and a comfortable bed. The shower was clean but a bit tatty which was a shame as the rest of the room was fine. Staff friendly and helpful. The included breakfast was very good, full English and a choice of cereals, pastries, fresh fruit and yogurts. Parking is... More
