Popped in for Monday lunch. Friendly service. Good range of wines by the glass. My wife had whole sea bream and I had the whole Dover sole. Very impressed with standard of food. Good location in town close to the sea front.

The White Swan will be the first point of call whether we stay or just pop in - so welcoming , takes me back to the good old days when a pub was a meeting place , Breakfast kept use going all day , good choice of main meals available until late . Staff could not be more friendly -... More

Been before, nice friendly place, nice staff and locals. Decent food, and beers. Brought my bouncy 8 month Labrador with me, provided a water bowl for him. Serves my favourite beer, Dorset Piddle. Recommended.

Central location, great bar area and beer garden. Dogs very welcome in the bar area with water bowl provided. Good pub food and made to feel very welcome and reasonable prices. WIFI available and papers to read. Friendly staff.

Lovely and lively location. We had a breakfast bap which was all we needed. The food was lovely and the drinks beautiful. It wasn't the fact we heard swearing from the staff but the way in which nobody seemed bothered about being there that let's the place down.

Having been going to Swanage for many years, we always liked to stop at the White Swan for some food, always been good, up to now. We walked in one evening last week and was welcomed by an obviously drunk landlord who said "come on kids eat if you want to", bearing in mind I'm an adult, it was really... More

Didn't expect much so was not disappointed. Bedding & towels were clean, cupboard-like en-suit was acceptable. TV worked, remote control so sticky I had to wash my hands afterwards but hey it got us through a rainy evening. Wifi was very poor, I gave up and used my slow 3G. The breakfast of cheese omlette was good!

The owners should be ashamed of themselves. A stinking, dirty, noisy hole of a pub..... Do not stay here or eat here, under any circumstances. The overwhelming stench of urine as we were shown to our rooms told us enough, but there was nowhere else available. Very loud music, constant swearing and drunken behaviour kept me and my 13 year... The White Swan is perfectly placed for a stay in Swanage. We parked up in pub car park on Friday & didn't touch car again till we left on Sunday. It's a very busy pub & popular with locals as well as visitors. It's very clean with a lovely atmosphere. Our room (no 5) had just what we needed, bed,... More

A typical tourist-route 'production line' pub, where they have so many people through the doors, they don't really care if you're happy or not. The food was overpriced (as is everything in Swanage, though for the same money, it's possible to get a much better meal and far better service at the Ship just down the road). The food was... More

Thank you for your review and comments. During the summer months in Swanage especially Carnival weeks, regatta and festivals we are a very busy centrally located establishment, with a 30 seater restaurant at the back. It is possible to access the garden using a side entrance which should be used so as not to walk past our diners. Cutlery is... More
