We stayed in the family room, it has a double and single room. Hotel is in a quiet part of Swanage with lovely views towards the sea. Staff are friendly and helpful. Dogs are allowed in the rooms but not the communal areas. Lovely and relaxing weekend, will definitely go back.

Swanage is a quiet resort and this is a quiet hotel at the quietest end of it. There is not a lot of excitement for the young unless i n summer they wish to descend the 144 steps to the clean and quiet beach but the hotel. Is admirable for those of more senior years. Its position on the cliffs...

It is not generally a favorable prospect to take an aged parent and mother-in-law away for the New Year but this time - 2016 to 2017 -was an exception in the case of The Pines in Swanage. Spotlessly clean with fabulous sea views across the bay and to the Isle of Wight the Pines put on a great show for...

We discovered this hotel through my uncle who is a regular visitor. We had a downstairs room which had a patio door opening on to a fenced garden. Steps take you down to the beach. The food was delicious and plenty of choice. We went half board!

Stayed in November to celebrate my dad's 80th birthday. The hotel is well situated with fantastic sea views and free parking although it's rather a long walk to the main attractions . Staff are really friendly and helpful particularly when we needed an ambulance for my mum. The building is rather dated however the restaurant food was sublime both at...

We stayed here during Christmas this year whilst visiting family. The staff are friendly & helpful. The Lounge Bar overlooking the beach & garden is very pleasant. The food was excellent, very generous portions & the service was efficient, waiters very accommodating. The bedroom overlooking the beach was fairly small but quite comfortable, clean & warm. The Christmas hot/cold buffet...

Been a while since our last visit to the Pines, but we stayed for 3 nights recently and our experience was outstanding. The staff were so helpful and friendly. Also, whilst we have always enjoyed the breakfast here, we particularly like the fact that you can have fish; either haddock or a kipper, on this occasion we stayed half board....
