Nice little guest house within walking distance of the beach. Very well decorated. We received a very warm welcome and stayed in a very pleasant room. Comfortable nights sleep. Breakfast was to a very high standard served with tea and toast. Would definately recommend to anyone wanting to stay in a nice guest house by the sea.

Always an offer of tea/coffee and biscuits on arrival. Breakfast is always excellent and plentiful. A lovely friendly atmosphere and we wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else.

We’ve stayed at Caythorpe pretty-much every year since 2005, and it just keeps getting better and better! As always, proprietor Alan was the perfect host who combines professionalism with a lovely personal touch. The hotel is in a fine central position about a 3-minute walk from the beach - and equally close to the station and main town with its many restaurants and pubs. Our room was lovely and spotlessly clean, and had everything we would need for a perfect stay. We love all the little touches that add something extra, such as a fridge in the room, wine glasses, bottled water, a radio and even a fan. All rooms have en-suites and a TV too, and the usual tea & coffee-making facilities, & ours had black-out curtains too. The breakfast is so well organized, and there’s an extensive menu to suit every taste, including veggie & vegan. The whole hotel has a fresh and modern feel - unlike some other seaside B&Bs that seem to have an unwanted 70s vibe! There’s onsite parking too, and Alan is very knowledgable about the local area if you’re ever stuck for ideas for eating out or daytrips. We’ve already booked our next stay for 2020! We can’t recommend Caythorpe House enough, and thanks once again to Alan and his staff for making our stay once again such an enjoyable one.

Dear canndyman, Thank you for taking the time to leave us such a kind, thoughtful review. I did chuckle when you described an unwanted 70's vibe at some other establishments - such a good turn of phrase. It is always a pleasure having you visit and stay with us - especially so this year! As you mentioned, you have already reserved your dates for 2020 and we are looking forward to welcoming you then.
