The loveliest cottage you can imagine in the most beautiful, bee-loud garden in the most enchanting village you could find anywhere in the country. All superlatives richly deserved. First 'B': The rooms are extremely comfortable and attractive. Second 'B': the breakfasts are beyond wonderful: eggs and bacon, homegrown honey, homemade jams, fruit, muesli, delicious bread. Everyone very friendly and kind,... More

My wife and I travel alot and stay at B&B around the UK. I travel the world and we are hard to please and its rare that we submit a review. But this one is well worth the the effort. Rose Cottage is one of the best we have stayed, it is a delightful setting and so peaceful surrounded by... More

My family and I spent 3 nights at Rose Cottage in late August. From the moment we arrived we felt completely at home - Amanda was the perfect hostess and treated us like family. We were greeted with tea and cake in Amanda's beautiful english garden and enjoyed a magnificent view. The b&b backs on to walking trails through the... More

We stayed in this cottage in August, after having stayed in a few different places in Dorset and Wiltshire. We were lucky with our choices, but this cottage has completely chattered our ideas about the level of hospitality and luxe one can get in the hidden countryside. Amanda and Giles created a very special ambiance in their house. We felt... More

Thank you to Amanda and Giles for providing such a wonderful B&B with much generous service, I had a superb weekend. From the moment I arrived they were very welcoming and made me feel comfortable. The place is quite hidden away but worth the journey, given the time and resources I will be returning to write my third novel. The... More

I stayed here with my parents in July. Amanda and Giles were really welcoming and Amanda's breakfasts were delicious. The first journey down the lanes to the property can be a bit un-nerving - but you soon get used to them. I intend to stay here again as soon as possible. It's a perfect Bed and Breakfast!

We stayed here in July 2013. Without Satnav it would be difficult to find. Amanda and Giles are very good hosts. The beds are extremely comfortable and breakfasts are lovely with plenty of fruit. Give the required notice and Smoked Salmon is available which is delicious. Amanda's bees provide tasty honey. The garden may be used by guests. We were... More

Rose cottage is hidden in one of the most beautiful counties in England..the name of this delightful hideway and the address of watery lane should prepare anyone for what turned out for us to be the highlight of our trip to e British isles. We were unable to stay due to unforeseen circumstances. Our disappointment relates entirely to dealings with Amanda a full two months before our proposed stay. She was confused by clear, informative e-mails and almost cancelled a room booked by another family member. Despite two months notice, she only refunded £10 of a £35 deposit and we felt this was a... Booked a weekend at this b&b through the Internet and Trip Advisor and was not disappointed. Truly a hideaway, how anyone can find this without a Satnav I don't know. Beautiful, idyllic, charming, superlative there are hardly any positive words that do not apply to this wonderful B&B. The garden was amazing with lost of different trees and flowers, a... More
