This Hotel is well located, right in the centre of Dorchester, with its own parking. The downstairs of the hotel has been refurbished to a high standard and is very nice. The first room I was given was a little tired. I did wonder if this was because I had booked through an agency and they would be paying 15%... More

This is my second stay in this hotel and I wasn't disappointed. The free car park is at the rear of the hotel and is entered through a narrow arch (think coach and horses) off the High Street. The staff are very friendly and make you feel welcome. The hotel has been renovated and brought up to modern standards but... More

The hotel is in the perfect place for exploring the town. There was plenty of car parking space and Weymouth is only a few minutes away by car. We had a great weekend, the staff were extremely helpful and did everything to make our stay enjoyable. Nothing was too much trouble. The local sausages at breakfast are highly recommended.

The only thing that wasn't up to scratch was no hot water for a bath after a day at work, it was warm. The food in the restaurant was from a printed off a4 piece of paper, not a huge choice but the food was first class and not expensive at all considering the quality. Staff were all friendly and... First of all: the personnel was smiling, friendly and helpful. I have no criticism for the personnel as such and both breakfast and dinner was very nice. When that is said: the rooms were not nice at all, you can hear everything through the walls, the water pressure in the shower is very low and the temperature is impossible to... More

Historic coaching Inn in centre of Dorchester. Clean, minimalistic environs with historic features. Room was fine, bed comfortable, bathroom great, quaint creaky floorboards. Evening meal simple, cooked well, and very nice. Access to car park quite tight due to entry through archway. Am definitely going to stay again

The hotel is in a good position the room was clean and the staff are very friendly and the food good. The hotel is old and the floor boards creak a bit no more than you would expect from an old building. We really enjoyed our time there and felt quite at home. Would go there again. A lovely historic... More

Good location, decent food, nice building, clean toilets, but my main purpose in writing this is to praise the barman/waiter, I think he was called Dave. Attentive and helpful without being smothering.

Spent one night at this hotel as a couple. Unfortunately far from impressed. Having stayed at Best Western hotels previously. This is by far the poorest without doubt. We stayed in a double room which although comfortable was relatively small but clean and tidy. The bed was comfortable and the shower/bathroom was just about adequate. Seems plastic cups to drink...
