It's really quite difficult to get a table here and was fortunate to eat here last Friday. This is the second time we have eaten here , the last time being some two or three years previous. The cottage itself is a chocolate box rural cottage and I believe it to be a very successful bed and breakfast. We only...

A 2 night dinner, bed and breakfast midweek stay. Have been trying to get a reservation for a few years now, whenever we've been able to go they've previously been fully booked, must be weekends are busier than midweek. All staff we encountered were very friendly and made us feel extremely welcome. Sitting in the lounge having a pre dinner...

Great place for dinner but fab place to meet friends for a weekend away with great food. It's so peaceful with lovely garden. Pre dinner drink on terrace. Sumptuous 4 course meal, exceptional! Great value for money. The staff are attentive but not overly so. Breakfast was also fabulous. Rooms are comfortable with everything you need. All rooms ensuite. Have...

Yalbury Cottage was as charming and homely as it's chocolate box exterior promised. My room was clean, warm and very comfortable. There were even homemade biscuits. The owner, Ariane, and her team were exceptionally friendly and helpful. It seems to have lots of returning guests and is also somewhere that friends and families stay together, and then dine in the...

My wife and I had been trying for sometime to get into this much rated hotel and we expected a great deal. The reviews we had read on Tripadvisor were in the vast majority extremely glowing in their praise. The food was sublime and I cannot fault any aspect of the eating experience. Two evening meals and breakfasts were well...

Excellent food, accommodation, and hospitality. The owners went the extra mile to provide breakfast very early on the Sunday morning. Very quiet location. Highly recommended for leisure and business meetings.

A small group of old friends enjoyed a superb dinner at Yalbury Cottage, staying the night. From the moment we were greeted by hostess Ariane, every detail was just what we hoped for. Pre-dinner drinks and canapes set the mood and the three courses were all excellent, using many local products. The bedrooms were lovely; ours on the ground floor...

We'd eaten here before and having been very impressed decided to stay a couple of nights, its not far from where we live but the room was large and the bed comfy. Our two dogs enjoyed their stay too. As always the food was superb, both evenings' dinners were beautifully balanced- a great deal of work into the food and...

We spent three amazing nights at Yalbury Cottage. I cannot find the smallest thing to describe as anything other than wonderful. The location is pretty and quiet, but very convenient for Dorchester and major road links. The Cottage is charming, with a delightful lounge and dining room, and our bedroom was spacious and comfortable, with a super en-suite. Little touches,...
